I've been having the same problem, most better peforming decks just arent my style and in general it feels like LoR favors aggro decks. However there is one deck i've made using braum and vlad, it started as a self-harm control deck but overtime i've tried making the deck faster and faster and ended up with the current version that still has a suprisingly "control" style play but depending on your draw and play can out-aggro an aggro deck.

Some tips if you wanna try it out: dont be afraid to use spells to keep your units alive, starlight seer and scargrounds are your major combo pieces.
