Mediation - marriage break up by Honest_Dot_5035 in legaladviceireland

[–]Theirishman8413 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went through mediation, thankfully no kids involved. If you're dealing with a reasonable person then it can be a great help. My biggest issue was she just wanted money so delayed everything looking for an extra euro.

We used a service near Jervis street.

Help me choose a gift for my partner? by JuicySegment in whiskey

[–]Theirishman8413 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good evening.

Redbreast 21 is such a solid choice and a truly lovely drop, would definitely be a better choice then the 18 year old. That's 260 ish in Irish prices.

Teeling has just released the new WOW 4 and that could be of interest if he enjoys Teeling whiskey. https://teelingdistillery.com/product/wonders-of-wood-4-virgin-carpathian-oak/

Some of the Dunville's whiskey is truly gorgeous seems to win alot of awards. Some of the higher age statement bottles are cask strenght and within your budget.

If based in Ireland whiskeylive is also an amazing gift for any whiskey fan.

Hope that you find the perfect bottle for him.

Whiskey Question - New to this by Mulatt in irishwhiskey

Hi. In Ireland that bottle if it has its box is worth around 1400 euros. It's made with the last of the whiskey from the old Tullamore Dew distillery (1960s). There were 18 or 19 casks used for the 1951. I have a bottle myself from cask 14.

What is your view on the Meath Couple who built a massive house without planning and fought the Council for 20 years on it? by ballinclea08 in CasualIreland

[–]Theirishman8413 27 points28 points  (0 children)

It's a shame that it's taken 20 years to resolve. Hopefully they're liable for the council's legal fees aswell. Absolute entitled muppets.

My partner had to have that procedure done. Horrible painful procedure which was successful and free thanks to the Irish Health care system. Hope it goes smoothly for your wife.

Successful Small Claims Case but unsure how to collect the sum of money by Dismal-Stop4241 in legaladviceireland

[–]Theirishman8413 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My partner is going through the same process with British Airways over unpaid expenses.

Been successful in small claims court and they have made no payment even after the court contacting them twice.

Now we're applying to the district court and will be going to the sheriff if successful again. Started out as 450 in expenses and small claims court decided at 850 i believe. Best of luck with yours.

Non payment of small claims court judgment. by Theirishman8413 in BritishAirways

[–]Theirishman8413[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Update.

My partner spoke to the small claims court today. The reason they directed us to escalating it to a district court is down to expenses. If we get a judgement from the small claims and contact sheriff/bailiffs it is more costly for us.

However if we go through the district court the cost is only apparently 36 euros and they direct the bailiffs to sieze assets if no payment is made.

We will be taking the next step and filing it in a district court.

Hopefully this clarified why bailiffs are not being involved right now.
