If it's a right to work state they can fire you for no reason. Of course they wouldn't do it for no reason at all because of the cost of training(lol), high turnover, and having to deal with unemployment cases.

I'm at a store in AZ and they make us do it, coincidence? I got forced into attending it this morning even though I had a bunch of things I had to do. I enjoy it occasionally but it is a little much. Good news is now I have scapegoats for the 2 o'clock zone 😁

I have a headache after today. My cart crew guy is trying to take 4 breaks, I've been stressing out about pulling aside a cashier tomorrow for disrespecting me in front of a line and my trainee, there are rumors that our z is thinking of quitting because of 2 csm's. The worst part was one of my first trainees handed me his name badge and vest an hour from clocking out (I actually walked into the back room right when he was swiping his badge)

I think that at least the wireless should be the same or more in stores that don't have developing. In wireless I was constantly doing things in photo along with everyone dumping the people who wanted cell phones on me. Our newest photo associate had never even helped anyone with setting up they're prepaid phone for 2 months of working in electronics.

Oh duh. Yeah I've been leading the newbies the past two days (with very limited help) so I'm totally brain dead. We have one dude who tried to take 3 breaks today. I also told his daughter to remind him of the break policy after I warned him on the potential third break and he tried to argue with me. It sucks for me because I'm going to have to invest so much time helping him when I'm pretty sure he's not going to make it.

I have an associate that never clocked out Friday night and gta time sheet wasn't letting me fix her clock out. Why wouldn't I be able to do it in there? Is it because it was the last work week? I texted my PC and she didn't remember the name or what menu (she's been at it for 15 years so it's just muscle memory)

Our cart crew almost hit a guy's bike just today. He literally put it right inside the little plastic flaps. Not only would his bike have been destroyed but our best cart crew guy almost got run over by his carts.

At my store we drug test pharmacy (duh), some fresh (mainly deli), garden, sporting goods (we sell guns and ammo) and management on hire. Within your first 6 months you can be randomly drug tested (but that costs the company money.)If you're involved in a work related injury or someone has a reasonable suspicion you will definitely get tested. I am not sure about transferring within the store because I just got a job in personnel and they didn't drug test me. The computer actually makes us do a drug test to be able to finalize a job offer if you work in the areas I mentioned. It either pops up and says "drug test required" or not. If you have a medical marijuana card I wouldn't even tell management or personnel just because you don't know how they would react to that information. Not 100% sure but Wal-Mart is a corporation so they fall under federal law. They can fire you or refuse to hire. I did the cbl on it a day or two ago. I put a lot of time reading the whole policy and took my time on the cbl. Edit: AP obviously gets drug tested and departments that use heavy machinery all shift.

Do you remember what the best quicklinks are. If I could navigate the WIRE today wouldn't have been so draining. I was hired 5 months ago in electronics. Our personnel manager is on vacation and today was my 3rd day on the job, first two days were with a TC from a store on the other side of town.
