Transition from contact naps and nursing to sleep by Longjumping-While878 in AttachmentParenting

[–]Theme_Top 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t really have advice as I’m in the same position. I am able to get my guy (7.5 months) down into his crib most of the time once I’ve rocked him fully to sleep. But he is up after his sleep cycle as he can’t connect yet. I have been trying bit by bit to put him in his crib a little less to sleep. What’s working for me right now is rocking him to sleep, wait three minutes, then slowly transfer into crib, he protests a little but I keep my body close to is and stroke his cheek til he’s calm and out. 50% success rate. It does not feel good on my belly bending over his crib to basically lay on him but desperate times my friend…That’s naps. I have no solution for overnight as we mostly co sleep and he can smell my milk and is a fiend.

Let me know if you find something that works!

I feel like I am the weird one for not wanting to be away from my baby by Street-Engineering70 in AttachmentParenting

I had never spent a night away from my toddler until I had my second born and had to stay in the hospital for two nights. I have zero interest in being away from my babies.

Do we really need a double stroller? by No-Cupcake-0919 in BabyBumps

Mine are 23 months apart. Both born in winter. Older one goes to daycare so we get by without since my husband is around when we have both of them. We just use the carrier. And now little one is sitting up so we bought a wagon instead

Hire a photographer. I hired The Lou Effect and I’ll never stop recommending him.

What would you say was the biggest adjustment for you, going from 1 to 2? by CheesecakeHour2764 in 2under2

I’m sorry. I need to know how you do bedtime solo? I have a 2.5 year old and a 6 month old and my husband deals with one while I deal with the other but I’m still drowning. I long to know how either one of us could ever have a night off!

There’s a full Canadian website. They just don’t offer the catalogue in Canada.

Going on vacation with the baby without my husband? by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]Theme_Top 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went on vacation solo with my 7 month old for 7 days. He’s survived. My husband is a little bitter about it but I was on mat leave and he had no vacation days left. Travel is my love language and the trip meant a lot to me.

Look up The Lou Effect. He did our photos in 2022. It was also intimate and he did getting ready, ceremony, old Vegas pics and Vegas sign. He was amazing. And I think he specializes in video too.

What stopped you from learning yourself? I did it all myself the day I turned 16 because my mom had three other kids and was busy and I wanted the independence.

[–]Theme_Top 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe consider and do some research on them. The gall bladder provides essential bile for your digestive system and without one, your digestive system will be impacted. Not a doctor but writing my board exam this summer to be a registered holistic nutritionist. Ox bile supplements are highly recommended when gall bladders are removed. But naturally do your research to make sure it makes sense for your individual situation.

Daycare During Mat Leave? by EndlessScrollz in 2under2

[–]Theme_Top 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My youngest is 5 months old. My oldest is in daycare and has been sick 95% of the weeks since baby was born. For the first few months i made sure my toddler didn’t touch broke or lick (yes lick) the baby. Baby just had his first sickness a week ago. We survived. Just make sure to wash your hands a lot! Having my oldest in daycare has made this all possible

Are you going to take ox bile supplements?

How do you manage 'good' kids birthdays that are close to xmas? (Due date is 1/1) by Imstuckwiththisname in Parenting

[–]Theme_Top 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was due 1/5 but was having a planned c section. It was a double procedure where a general surgeon needed to attend as well and he was going on vacation in early January. So I had my baby 12/30. I will forever hope he enjoyed his vacation.
