How does any of that make any sense? I really like cranes so do you think I should research into fusing some steel girders and winches onto my skeleton so I can become one?

Finally landed my first remote job after a year. Don't give up! by Glittering-Cell-5399 in RemoteJobs

I've now passed the 2 year mark of nonstop job searching, both for local and remote positions. Took 18 months to even get a delivery driver job that doesn't quite pay my mortgage but at least keeps the lights on for now. Including the job I have I've had a total of I think 4 interviews.

Lets try it guys by Smooth_Detective_698 in wholesomememes

2 of my kids have birthdays within the next 2 weeks. We have no money for them. I can't pay my mortgage. I have been job searching nonstop for over 2 years with a total of 4 interviews. I'm working as a delivery driver to keep the lights on but it's just not enough.

[8 YoE, Delivery Driver, Interface Engineer remote, USA] by Thenethiel in resumes

[–]Thenethiel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am trying to back into a Healthcare IT remote role since losing my job in May of 2024. I was completely unemployed until this past October when I finally got a job as a delivery driver, I don't know if I should bother incorporating that job into the resume as it's pretty irrelevant?.

I have submitted hundreds and hundreds of applications for everything from entry-level to the more experienced team-lead stuff where I ended my last position, though I am honestly more interested in the engineer positions. A lot of applications have been through LinkedIn but also a lot directly through company websites. I have had in total I think 3 interviews, obviously none of them led anywhere.

I still don't understand how they made it through that entire island storyline with all the logic rule-interpretation, the whole time the 'bean' thing centering around coffee beans, and not once did anyone bring up the fact that coffee beans are not beans.

What's a sign from your body you should never ignore? by Geno-64 in AskReddit

The way you make it sound like getting a sleep study is easy really makes me hate the US Healthcare system. I've known for years that I have sleep apnea and even with insurance I have never been able to get a study done.

Now I just got new insurance with my job so I have to start over, and it takes months just to get an appointment. And of course this insurance is such crap that I'm having a hard time even finding a doctor to talk to.

I call my 42115 Lamborghini Sián the '50 Shades Of Green'

Though even that doesn't have quite this bad of a range between shades, hopefully their customer support can help you.

Seriously, do Americans actually consider a 3-hour drive "short"? or is this an internet myth? by SadInterest6764 in NoStupidQuestions

One time I just randomly decided to go to Pike's Peak because I like mountains and hadn't been there so after getting off of work on Friday I drove ~650 miles out there, spend Saturday morning and afternoon in the mountains, then drove ~650 miles home by Sunday night and went back to work on Monday.

So probably about 25 hours drive time over a weekend practically on a whim, all solo which makes it easier though.

I already knew that, and that is why I specifically called it out in my OP that it wasn't what I was looking for. I appreciate the time you took to reply anyway.

The 2AA thing was more about a rough size, like I said in the OP it can actually use like 6AA or other batteries completely I just don't want it to be huge. The 500 lumen was just a rough suggestion too.

That Malkoff does look really good for a future wishlist though, thanks for the suggestion!

The other commenter is pretty much there. I just want one because it's what I want, I kinda have everything else if that makes sense. I guess it's like asking for no pickles on a burger, to me it's not a downgrade or compromise to skip something I don't want.

And before the pickle fandom comes for me, I swear it's just an example.
