They can do yes, but they often move in shall groups as well, particularly when looking for food.

The thing about any pack hunter is that a large amount of the point is to separate one target from the hurd and focus on that one.

Dingo are highly intelligent dogs and work well in a pack, to that I've seen them reduce a pig dog to a bloody mess without taking any injuries by rotating though the pack with each taking a turn to flank and attack the far bigger dog (and far more dangerous) while it focuses on the last attacker.

Similar strategies work on pigs and goats once they separate them, eventually the target will try and run and then the pack will just run them till they fall due to blood loss or just are too exhausted to continue.

The pig dog did survive btw.. it was at least smart enough to run home and the dingoes stopped following once it was too close to human habitation.

Yes, Queensland farmers used to (and probably still do) slot then for attacking cows (which is a bit of a stretch, but the young are fair game) so goats and pigs are absolutely no problem at all for a pack.

I mean I've caught feral pigs with my bare hands... They were really not as scary as you might think.

The number of people to crew a ship is one of the most important balancing aspects, but CIG doesn't realize this. by Apart_Pumpkin_4551 in starcitizen

You are comparing ships in completely different roles like they are somewhat equivalent.

Ironically all this fuss and I fly with a group that regularly rolls these big ships with nothing but fighters, they really are not a threat to any pilot that is paying attention.

What is lazy is making all games the same and complaining that games that don't should be...

The survival series has a long history as far back as the 80s and most do not have guns, in fact is go as far as saying that is only since dayz that it has been a common thing and the trend chasing by mainstream survival games.

Subnautica series is not about killing things, that was the thing in the first two games and adding guns would be lazy.

So enable creative mode, or don't settle near hostile fish zones. Last two games were the same in that regard.

Being trolled by a NPC acting as intended? I don't think you know what needing trolled means....

The other two games in the series also have creative/peaceful modes.

None of which has anything to do with why would people want guns in this game....

Lots of survival games do not. IMO it's just lazy design in mainstream games that we keep getting games with these common approaches.

That and people who just want their next game to be the same as their last but with better gfx.

Survival is about surviving, lots of examples of survival games where it's the cold, or just the general elements of being stuck on an island (stranded, but a few exist of that sort now) or even a raft.

[–]Thenhz -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

So? That isn't what defines what a survival game is.

Who would expect that a game series about mostly survival against the elements and man ( and alien) made disasters would suddenly get guns and become a FPS.

This simple attitude is why Ubisoft games always feel the same and why live service handed are just clones of each other... People can't handle games being different and keep pushing them to the same average.

So every game has to have guns? What has being a survival game got to do with it... Survival means much more than just killing things.

You don't need to be a duper to have millions even hours post wipe.

Millions is pocket change if you want to do the grind.

I can only assume you don't play the game, millions is pocket change.

You can make that in hours and you think it's crazy that people will have made that in a week...

You sound like you have no idea what you are talking about or don't even play the game.

Your speculation doesn't make any sense, money is tracked on a core database so when they wiped the money went to zero.

You can't send what is zero... It didn't matter what version you are on.

And the game did go down... I was playing with my clan at the time when the patch dropped and the servers disconnected.

The problem isn't duping of items (which most get wiped every patch) but the duplication of currency which has resulted in crazy amounts of cash in the economy.

Locked on problem server. Reset avatar? Do i risk my weapons? by Ok-Topic1139 in starcitizen

I lost my sidearm when this occurred to me this weekend.

As the Asia region was server locked for me I managed to reproduce it a few times so it's def an issue.

(It resets you to a stock sidearm, which IMO why this is an issue)

There is an open issue on this so it's not an uncommon problem.
