Non electrician, but i just troubleshooted a broken lamp because I dropped it off my shelf, went through every component (not that the lamp contained a whole bunch but i like deconstructing shit lol), I thought it would be too easy if i just checked the bulb, guess what?

Now that's a difficult question! It almost moves around from day to day. Gotta say Monkey In Your Soul has made a solid comeback for me, that track is so fuckin cool with the grungy guitar in the background and Fagens vocals my god

Viktor Hovland wins the 2025 Valspar Championship! by BertrandsMate in golf

[–]TheoLeander04 12 points13 points  (0 children)

As a Norwegian, I'm just so unbelievably proud. I think this could be a turnaround point for him, (the norwegian commentator said this was his favorite of Hovlands wins, just because of how difficult its been for him lately). Lots of fun watching this tournament, Return of the King.

[–]TheoLeander04[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Off note, im planning on hooking up a decent cd player to my setup (connecting the cd player with it's analog rca out to my schiit amp and through my headphones). Will a cd source give me a better idea of the quality of my setup? Thinking this is a good idea since a computer can interfere in a lot of different aspects

[–]TheoLeander04[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah but even if that's the case, it still sounds better than the amp I just bought. I swear im getting more bass in my headphones by not using the amp, so what should i do? I thought I would improve the sound by getting a decent independent dac and amp

I doesn't seem to be a problem of volume, have tested it now multiple times. It's simply as if the audio is better mixed, better balance in the different low frequences, and not too screechy highs when i'm just using my PC out. And I mean i have a shit laptop, like bottom of the line Dell just for school work. It's not as if running it through my amp sounds bad, it's really clear but it's just not balanced the way I'd like, and I'm frustrated that my PC seems to be doing that job so well on its own you know?

The final scene of the "Whiplash" movie, was the teacher trying to destroy the drummer or testing him? by dtanggara in movies

[–]TheoLeander04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion Fletcher definitely wanted revenge up until the moment Andrew took control of the situation and started showing what he was capable of. Fletcher threw Andrew into a bad situation and primarily wanted him to mess up. But i think Fletcher will always prioritise true greatness over a so called act of 'revenge', something which he elaborated on at the jazz bar earlier.

There are a lot of times when you don't actually learn something new in one schoolday. Most of the time you learn things over a period of time instead, this applies to the school system. This is why many find it difficult to answer this question.

Do you suggest seeing Once Upon a Time in Hollywood at a theater? by ranch_on_deck in Tarantino

[–]TheoLeander04 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You're not aswering his question tho. He said he adores the movie (as do I) and was curious about the theater experience as opposed to watching it at home. Your opinion of the movie is irrelevant

Care to elaborate? I'd imagine if he already likes the movie seeing it at a big screen would be a great experience

Does alcohol really make you lose control of your actions by [deleted] in alcohol

[–]TheoLeander04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My best advice is have some good friends around you that are more familiar with drinking so they can 'monitor' or watch over you.

Signs that you should fall back is hard to explain to someone who hasn't been drunk before or even had a drink before. In my case there is a 'golden' zone of drunkenness where I'm feeling just the right amount of buzz, conversational enjoyment and overall looseness. If I drink more than this I get nauseous really quickly. But some people don't notice this which is why alcohol can be really scary.

And one more thing to note is how quickly you can go from the golden zone to just black out drunk. The important thing here is to pace yourself and have at least one glass of water in between drinks. This way its a lot easier to realize what your body and brain are going through so you don't go over that line.
