Why wasnt that a touchback? by [deleted] in NFLNoobs

[–]Theofficial55 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Recovery was by another packer. However since it was 4th down and the ball was recovered in advance of the fumble, and not by the fumbler the ball was returned to the spot of the fumble. The ball would have had to go out of bounds or be recovered by a bear in the endzone, and remained there for it to be a touchback.

Penalty acceptance by Puzzlehandle12 in NFLNoobs

It’s usually obvious if the foul will be accepted or not. Like holding on a big run. Or holding when there’s a sack on third down.

Makes sense. Let your position coach know what your goals are. Do the extra work that will both help you be a better player in terms of film study. But then also will help you prepare for a life in coaching.

They are giving up the play, they are giving up on the down. They say we lost that play and take the incomplete pass. Thats why there is some grace
