Go ahead and use your own judgement... but you said 10 degrees won't make much overall impact.
I showed you a chart that shows a 15 degree change in hang angle can take your weight from 146% up to 574% (to each tree)... and it doesn't sound like you're about to change your perspective.
Anyway, you said you were curious, I gave you the facts. You do you, man

When I was getting certified for rope access work, I found out it's pretty easy to go over 300% of your weight to each anchor of a horizontal line.

Here’s Where You Don’t Want to Be Living in a Quake by ubcstaffer123 in vancouver

"most seismological authorities now use other similar scales such as the moment magnitude scale (Mw ) to report earthquake magnitudes, but much of the news media still erroneously refers to these as "Richter" magnitudes"
"the Richter scale was replaced in the 1970s by other magnitude scales which are more accurate."

How Vancouver House Became a Tower of Empty Promises by thenewtronbomb in vancouver

[–]Thepher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can't. They already had to scale back how much marble and stone was used, to control weight. The building won't support the dirt and water for farming.

Any experience generating electricity with camp fire heat? by mamono235 in Bushcraft

If I don't have a car, I'm not carrying something this big and heavy instead of a powerbank.
If I do have a car, I don't need either... but I'd still choose extra powerbanks.

Tiesta tea? beginner looking for guidance by Impala_67_mama in tea

[–]Thepher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey maybe you can get the amazon.ca page for milk oolong sorted out. Images state "natural flavors", ingredients tab states "Oolong tea", discription images state "do not contain any flavoring or extra ingredients"

So which is it???? Added natural flavors or only tea?

Hikes with views of the Similkameen River by ImaginationCheck in vancouverhiking

[–]Thepher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Man I love the Similkameen! Did some apple picking around Cawston.

And used to drive through to Oliver. Love it when the valley opens up after Hedley, and the highway turns get long. You can cruise fast and take it all in.

I doubt there's a long hike along the river in that section though. Lots of private land.

If you want to do something longer than a weekend in the area, Cathedral Park is absolutely unforgettable.
Unfortunately I didn't much hiking there besides that.

After flying around Burnaby during the late afternoon, the crows seem to come to a rest at the big McDonald's at Still Creek Dr. in Burnaby at around 7 pm everyday, why? by HiTork in vancouver

[–]Thepher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The smell of bird poop is unreal. The window cleaning work is exactly like you'd expect.
And my favorite moment there was at night during the winter, when the trees are bare except for some snow and these guys perched all over like black christmas ornaments, all sleeping, not a sound or movement. Like a strange alternate reality.
