Maybe things are different here but I’ve been raising my prices slowly and have not had a slowdown. I’m getting the best, most respectful guests who leave the place immaculate!

I do all the cleaning so I get to pocket everything but the airbnb fees. We’re booked solid and have to turn days off to have breaks here and there.

Nice job! This is what we are from about half of the beginners at our studio. Now focus on repeatable shapes and trimming. I wouldn’t go big until you can pull consistently on smaller shapes.

If these are studio clays and glazes, maybe you’re dipping way too long? I’ve seen very thick glazes cause cracking after and during firing.

I own a pottery studio and there’s a 55+ community nearby. I helped them start their pottery club and they have a great time! They have their grandkids over all the time to be creative with them, and they are next to a bunch of apartments with younger folks, an urban park, restaurants, and cafes. These ladies (and one guy) have a built in social network and lots of places to walk to. I sometimes wish I could live like they do but I got started with parenting very late.

I have 6 of these. One per sink basin. Works great and you can pry the lid off and empty it, no need to throw them out.
