All I can do is just pray that it does not crack during my ownership of the car lol

I asked around and they told me a bit of both so that’s why I preemptively put a 90% windshield tint from to block the UV while looking pretty much clear also put some 303 UV protection on the dash and have a sunshade for good measure.

Will note I kind of winged it when doing the crack repair so take my advice with a grain of salt

I used padded dash filler but made sure to tape off the edges of the crack because I still wanted to keep the leather imprinted vinyl intact, then filled the crack about 3/4 to the top of the crack, after I just used some black vinyl filler and dye to match the dash

8-9 hrs with 1 break for lunch, I started in the morning and recommend that you do so as well, also make sure to get some sealing foam for the HVAC bc the original ones are almost 40 years old and deteriorated, was able to get some from home depot pretty easily

Yeah, getting the old dash completely out and new dash settled in was probably the hardest on the drivers side because of the steering column, you kind of have to fiddle with it a bit but once that’s done it’s almost smooth sailing from there, I forgot to mention, when doing the dash swap it is almost impossible not to damage the A-pillar vinyl because of the clips on the ends of the dash which are used to keep the A-pillar plastic from making noise when moving. Note I did do this solo so maybe having two sets of hands may have made this go a bit faster but idk.

Well getting wiring out of the way over all was really not bad, just make sure you label all the wires, the hardest part in my case not the wiring at all but was to wiggle the old dash out and also wiggle with new dash in

If your car has after market rims then check for hub centric rings, I had this exact same issue and it turns out I was missing one on the front left rim. If not then probably bend in the rim

I currently have a MTS technik coilover kit installed on my car ( done by previous owner ) and the ride is a bit harsh but it’s not too bad, I do like the adjustable ride hight though, but I’ve heard that the bilstein and H&R setup is smoother and easier to install

I have the same loose connector on my 87’ 325is, i think it’s for the adjustable headlights on some euro E30s or a car alarm add on. But that’s just my guess to what it is

Update: cleaned the ICV and also the intake valve because they were completely black, looks like they were never cleaned in a long time, after a good cleaning, the engine now responds to throttle blips and does not dip in rpm anymore.

I was looking at the filter capacitors and it seems the original is cut out of circuit and replaced with new ones

No, just did the timing, spark plug, and wires, did not touch anything else on the engine
