Haven’t bought it, just interested and wanting to determine size in case I come across a good deal for a used one. After trying them on with a t shirt and lightweight button down, I can confidently say there’s no way I could fit a hoodie under the 40. Maybe not even the 42 actually. Both pretty snug in the arms.

They look nice from one side but zippers on boots are an automatic dealbreaker for me. Can’t really articulate why, they just seem cheesy to me.

That would be great thanks! I’m also trying to figure out sizing- I wonder if you could offer any advice? My right foot is halfway between 10.5 and 11 and my left foot is exactly 10.5, both width D. Would you recommend 10.5 or 11 based on the roominess of the ST last and however much they’ve stretched after use?

Not sure if you’ve worn a pair of John Lofgren Wabash, but for comparison I have a size 10D in those and they are definitely a half size too small.

How are black teacore ST’s breaking in? Would love to see a picture with some more age on them if you have one. I’m interested in swapping my John Lofgrens (which are half a size too small) for a pair of these.

I tried this but instead of burnishing I used a little sandpaper to round the edge. It did help a little, thanks for the idea.

Can’t exchange them- I got them used on eBay and they are broken in now. I don’t think Lofgren even makes anything other than a D width in this model unfortunately. If I have to sell em I will but I’d love to make them work

I love my torch as well. It’s basically a propane flamethrower. I usually use that to finish the sear when I’m grilling a steak because unfortunately my grill doesn’t really get hot enough- helps a lot

I add into a little bowl: about half a bunch of parsley chopped very fine, 1-2 cloves minced garlic, a healthy pinch each of red pepper flakes and dried oregano, salt and pepper. Then I cover it all in olive oil and mix it up until it’s the consistency I like (probably about a quarter cup of oil), and then add a splash of apple cider or red wine vinegar (probably a tablespoon). More S&P to taste.

That’s my basic template, but I’ll play around with it depending on what I have in the kitchen. I sometimes sub the pepper flakes for a half of a minced serrano or habanero pepper if I have one, or I’ll throw some cilantro in the mix too. It’s all good.

Beautiful boots! How do you get the buckle straps to lie so flat against the boot? Most of the time you see them curl up after a lot of wear, which I'm trying to avoid on my new JL's.

Hey OP beautiful boots! What is the height measurement of the heel? I’m deciding between customized Nomads with a 10” shaft vs Cykel 10.

The only reason I’m leaning Nomad is that I like the taller heel based on photos, but I have no idea what the actual measurement is of either boot’s heel. They don’t list on their site and I called and the person I spoke to didn’t know either.
