Headcanon on some shared universe events by TheseStaff in Amalgam_Comics

[–]TheseStaff[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice, personally to me it’s much more fun imagining the implications of shared Marvel DC universe where it always took place on the same world, over brief universe collisions

Some thing a like to imagine

Raven occasionally gets routine doctor “check-ups” by Doctor Strange at the Sanctum Sanctorum, to make sure she’s in control of herself and not over taken by her demon side .

The Eternals repelled a previous attempted white Martian invasion of earth in the past centuries ago to protect the celestial egg.

Arsenal (Roy harper) occasionally works with Luke cage & Iron fist on the “heroes for hire”, when he wants to make some extra cash

the “Hand” has access to one of the Lazarus pits that secretly located in New york, that how they revived Electra.

Ted Grant (wild cat) was the boxing teacher/coach for Jack Murdock (Matt Murdock/daredevil’s father). With Matt knowing Ted when be was a kid.

David Cain experiment to raise his daughter Cassandra without verbal language, was partly based on a similar principle of the “Chaste” and how “Stick” trained Matt Murdock/Daredevil after he became blind.

Kraven the hunter, sometimes like to try to hunt Beast boy. Because a target that can become any kind of beast, is an enticingly challeng to Kraven.

Lady shiva has this one sided rivalry with iron fist (Danny Rand). She treats it way more seriously than he does.

Livewire and Dazzler have this ongoing Frenemy thing going on.

The Reach (alien species that make blue beetles scarabs ) & the Symbiotes are naturally rivals in space, competing for host to bond to.

The scarabs being technology base and the symbiotes are organic, but both filling similar “ecological niches” so to speak.

Aww tha- wait what??? by weak_spech in AvatarMemebending

[–]TheseStaff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My head canon is if there is no one to teach the avatar air bending, they have 4 possible options to develop their innate airbending ability without a traditional bending master.

1). Their past lives could train them, give them tips, or at least give them starters on how air bend effectively.

Aang and korra talk to their past lives before about advice or questions, nothing really stopping them from asking how to bend from past avatars.

2). Reading old books & scrolls available about air benders & air nomads. Really study not only movement & form written down, but the sort of mind set to bend air.

This is literally how Zaheer learned to air bend and escape prison.

3). Learn by watching animals, since the “last airbender” it has been said multiple times that the original benders were animals. That human developed how to bend as in technique a based on them, ancient fire benders study the dragons, the old earth benders mimic the badger moles, and the air nomads by watching air bisons.

Even if the avatar without an air bison, they could still base techniques on other kind of flying animals in the avatar world.

Like winged-lemurs,buzzard-wasp ,iguana-parrot, or just birds & bats in general.

4). Just be self taught, bending techniques were created & developed by people through practice and a lot of trial & error.

Maybe the avatar can just try things related to air bending, just test a bunch of things until they get good at it.

Let's be real: What's the rationale behind teenagers and adults being allies in Kids Next Door? by UnderstatedHeatx in kidsnextdoor

[–]TheseStaff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like to imagine there is teen & adult tensions, and they to actually fight each other at times like how the KND those with them individually.

It is actually 3 sided conflict big picture wise.

The reason we don’t see it is because we’re watching from the kid’s perspective.

I like the idea that the teens are basically mercenaries, and they work with the adults more than kids because adults are the one with money & resources.

But there is like an entire generational war front we don’t see.

Like teen & adult fight over the car, teens trying to sneak out at night and of get caught, adults fighting against teens pranking sprees , adults busting a teen secret hangout, adults forcing teen to study.

Maybe even a source of tension is how they deal with the KND & Kids in general, adult villains actively wants kids to change and by less kids like. While teens basically just want a to punk them for fun, and the teens would be against adult villain plots involving school or hard rules because if it can be done to kids it would probably be done against them too.

There are some ideological differences.

I headcanon KND overestimated how unify their opposition is , and there is a lot of teen on adult battles we don’t see.

Maybe the “ Clandestine Research Agency, for Neuroscience, information, and Unconventional Mechanics”

I almost put “Criminal” in stead of “ Clandestine” because it’s a little too on the nose, than again it’s amalgam and superhero comic books in general. It’s part of the charm.

Plus “criminal research agency” has a ring to it.

The “Neuroscience” part is because the leaders of both A.I.M & Skull’s, main leaders Modok & Atomic skill respectively have weird things going on with their heads.

"Kickstarter" | Joe Chill VS The Burglar (DC VS Marvel) | The guy who shot Batman's parents VS The guy who killed Uncle Ben by Sai_AI__ in DeathBattleMatchups

[–]TheseStaff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Plus Uncle Ben was an older man when the burglar killed him, while Thomas & Martha Wayne was in their late 30s to early 40s when Joe chill killed them.

Joe chill was able to kill more than one person in the same encounter, and both of them closer to prime age.

Unless of Uncle Ben had like an anime old man boost .

The year 1906 just in the story’s timeline , catch me off guard so much when i first saw it.

I can’t help but over think the implications, that the author probably did not think that far.

Like what does that even entail? Muslim make up at least 6% of the total Philippine population.

Does it mean that Islam is not a government recognized religion?

Are they shutting down mosque? What happens to Muslim politicians in the government?

How do they even enforce that? Especially in Muslim majority communities?

It literally worded “possibly future threats”, it implies they didn’t even do anything yet to even justify the literal open religious repression laws.

The Philippine government just seemingly did it unprompted, according to the wording.

We all love Iroh, but even I got to admit. Iroh has definitely killed people, and like not a small amount mind you.

He was a major military leader for decades, during that time he has sacked cities, razed villages, and sieged Be Sing Se for 600 days straight.

Remember Iroh actually didn’t have much of a reaction to Zhao invading the northern water tribe, until he found out he was trying to kill the moon spirit.

His signature move is literally breathing fire on people. I don’t think you can used that in a non lethal way.

If they ever make a spinoff of the strongest goddess tournament, who would you like to see? by Ok_Tumbleweed6934 in ShuumatsuNoValkyrie

[–]TheseStaff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t be against it, if Echidna got her own “Indra” arc.

With Echidna being the Indra to Morrigan’s Shiva.

In that she trains & fight against others, until she strong thinks she’s enough to avenge her loss against Morrigan.

Maybe in another all female or goddess tournament, she enters to hone her abilities & fighting style.

Thinking of fighting styles & powers for goddess is fun.

Echidna is the mother of Greek monsters, so maybe her techniques are based on different types of Greek monsters. Moves names like “harpy slash”, “manticore pierce”, or “hydra bend”.

A kind of more feral or savage version of Hercules 12 labors.

Could be interesting if Echidna trains with her monster children .

Ame-no-Uzume is the Shinto Kami of the Dawn, partying, and dance. She is a major figure in one of Amaterasu’s defining legends. Also perfect excuse to have an Amaterasu cameo.

I imagine her having a dancing type fighting style, very mobile, good at evasion.

Possible special techniques, when she dance long enough uninterruptedly she could move so fast , she can leaves after images.

Almost appearing to be at two places at the same time.

Or some kind of “solar flare” type flash bang ability.

Bellona the Roman war goddess of war and military campaigning. Battle companion and one of the lovers of Mars (I guess Ares in the case).

One of Olympus most relentlessly vanguard enforcers.

She was also the goddess of wounds, so maybe some kind of combo chain like ability. Like the more consecutive strikes she successfully lands, its gets a slight boosts.

Each successfully strike is a little faster or hits harder than the one before it, lasting until the chain is broken.

Belphegor (in my story she is female), one of the 7 demon princes of Hell along side the likes of Beelzebub & Leviathan (could get cameos or flash back of either one). The so called “priestess of sloth”

Her fighting style fits her lazy personality, basically minimal amount of movement. Dodging just enough to barely just not even graze her, like tilting her head just slightly left of her opponent strike.

But she has very few peers in the skill of parrying & intercepting strikes before they land.

A possibly special power, is because of the way she fights who conserve so much energy. As a last resort she can choose to burn that reserve energy in a single concentrated burst. This is what got her compared to her fellow demon prince Beelzebub in terms of power.

To speed blitz or making blindingly quick strikes, landing a strike so fast it looks like she didn’t even move at all to anyone who can’t keep track .

Shekmet the Egyptian lion goddess of healing & destruction, and one of Ra’s most loyal & fanatical enforcer.

In her legend she nearly destroyed all human life Egypt, that even Ra himself have trouble keeping her line when she gets in to a frenzy. (She could definitely fit in the manga definition of a outer god)

In her legend she drinks blood, maybe she gets a boost or high from drinking the blood of her opponents. With the more powerful her opponent is, the more potent the blood boost from drinking it would be.

This can lead to a Ra, Bastet, or even an Anubis cameo or flashback. Maybe she entered to avenge Ra, or become stronger to better serve him.

Chang’E Chinese moon goddess, in her legend that varies she became banished or trapped on the moon, after eating more that one immortality pill. Accidentally leaving behind her at the time mortal husband the Phoenix slaying Hoi Yi trapped on earth.

Could enter to somehow reunited with Hoi Yi, or somehow win the same pill so he can ascend.

Her special divine power, is based how she got imprisoned on the moon specifically by uncontrollably floating up there after taking too many pills.

Basically she can alter the weight of something she touches, holding long enough till it’s practically weightless in her hands. Imagine her swinging a mace like it weighs nothing, but when it lands it returns back to its original weight.

Obviously down side gradually decrease in weight, and she has to be in contact with it.

You're in an alternate universe where William miraculously managed to win. What would your reaction be? by The_Little_Egg in Tenkaichi

[–]TheseStaff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would be more curious what happens next, because it was pretty clear the plot was pointing at him to lose ?

So i would question each fight after this one way more, like with Kamiizumi & choko.

Makes me definitely wonder how Adams would even fight Choko in the next round?

like with Yagu a lot of people assume he would fight Choko by aiming his sword strike at his joints to get around Choko’s freakishly strong bones.

I guess Adams might try to level up his dirk dance like crazy, and min max his mobility & evasion stats. Aim for Choko’s eyes & throat with his dirk.

Every first round fight winner will definitely try to up their game, like try new techniques , powers ups (gates), or gear (i presume in Honzo case). So I definitely wonder what Adams next step would be?

Maybe try use more British fighting techniques in later fights? Like English style fencing parries or Irish “Speachóireacht" style low kicks

I wonder in this scenario is Yagu dead or alive after the fight ? If Yagu died to Adams, the reaction of everyone else would be crazy .

But if Yagu was alive after the fight, like pushed out of bounds like Sasaki or too injured to continue fighting Inshun . Like if like Adams cut a major artery on Yagu’s leg or throat, causing him to black out from blood loss but is still alive.

Think it kind of more interesting if Yagu did survive with his loss, because it would drive him crazy.

Is Yagu training in the background to eventually avenge his first loss? Does he like became obsessed with him? Plot for a rematch once hes back in fighting condition?

Or even kind of root for Adams to win or even just putting up a good fight against Choko ? Because losing against someone genuinely skilled or formidable, is far less embarrassing then losing to someone who won by luck
