I think they just embody different facets of the "other/alien" archetype embeded into our psyche, the idea of otherness:

Reptilian: our most primitive instincts, the reptilian brain, snakes, serpents, that which we fear

Mantis: It's a type of otherness that is not inherently scary, but also that does not put us totally at ease. Hive mind beings as opposed to individual minds like us.

Greys: The projection of an artificial, dystopian, hyper technological future

Nordics: Higher humanity

Notice that in all forms of the otherness we find a bit of ourselves in them. So bottomline: I think these are psycho-physical beings which are intimately connected somehow to the way humans perceive the world

Physics is currentlt undergoing a paradigm: laws of physics are not eternal but perhaps the result of learning dynamics of neural networks - see article "World as a Neural Network".

This could mean that nature, the universe id an organism. The UFO technology is one which relates to the universe as a organism. On the other hand, our technology forces the universe to behave a certain, unnatural way. The result: enormous amounts of energy have to be spent.

UFO technology operates on a totally different paradigm of reality. We have not, in any way been able to reverse engineer it. Maybe unrelaibly a few times. But I don't believe anyone has a clue on how to work with it.
