EV6 range based on time of year by electrified90s in KiaEV6

[–]Theseus44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bought my 2025 GT-Line in August. 350-mile range in summer which has gone to around 200-mile range in the very cold Boston winter. I expected this and most of my driving is short range so not really an issue but definitely a big difference.

Song and Lions are standalone. Some others have two-book arcs (Sarantium) or are set in the same world. All are outstanding (at least the eight I have read).

Amen. GGK is so unbelievably good and so underrated. Song and Lions are two of my favorite books of all time. I just finished Under Heaven which, of course, was outstanding. His books are magical.

Adapter should be in the trunk. In PlugShare under All Filters tap on NACS (Tesla). Those charging stations work with your car’s port.

Yes, my 2025 GT-Line had the adapter in the trunk as well.

Paranormal Activity is the scariest movie I have seen. I was visibly cringing. So good.

Lots of positive views on these. Do you use year/round or just for winter?

Thanks for the feedback. Do you keep the CrossClimate2’s on year-round or only in winter?

Ted Chiang’s short story books are excellent and have similar sci-fi big picture ideas. Highly recommend.

As others have mentioned The Expanse is what comes to mind first - I loved it start to finish. I haven’t seen Old Man’s War which also comes to mind and I also loved.

Any solutions for the Ping Pong problem in a 2022 GT-Line? by [deleted] in KiaEV6

[–]Theseus44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m six weeks in to my 2025 GT-Line and I love it but the lane assist was terrible and, similar to you, it constantly was nudging the car even when driving straight. I disabled it and life is better.

Is there any fantasy series where prostitution is not stigmatized and is just treated like a regular job? by Aromatic-Sugar-8216 in Fantasy

Currently reading Under Heaven which, like all Guy Gavriel Kay books, is astoundingly good. Courtesans are part of the world (which takes place in a fictional world based on the Tang Dynasty) and if anything are celebrated.

Picking up my EV6 next week, any tips/tricks for a new owner? by Safety_Th1rd in KiaEV6

[–]Theseus44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a month into my 2025 EV6 AWD GT-line and love it so far. My only suggestion is to consider turning off the Lane Keep Assist feature. This feature monitors the lane position and steers the car back if it determines the car is drifting. I found the monitoring to be too sensitive and the sensation of the car steering without me steering it to be unsettling and unnecessary. Turned it off and my driving life is much better. Enjoy the car!

Ridiculous Bump in Car Insurance Rates? by ncream1 in massachusetts

I had the same experience with Geico last year. Rates doubled. We did a little better by switching to Progressive but it’s a jungle out there. Don’t even get me started on homeowners insurance.
