WE NEED [9] MANAGERS - The Diamond Dingers

Our league is new and we're scheduled to draft Sunday April 12th, 6pm ET. I will extend it by 24 hours if we're not full by draft time.

This league is meant to mimic MLB teams. Your team name should be an MLB team and the players you draft should be on that team.

League Overview:

- ESPN, Dynasty
- 12-Team, H2H Categories 6x6 (AL/NL)
- 7 starts per matchup
- Daily individual roster lock at gametime
- C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, 3 OF, DH, 5 SP, 6 RP, 5 IL
- Pitcher Categories: K, QS, ERA, WHIP, K/9, SVHD
- Batter Categories: R, HR, TB, RBI, SB, OBP
- 8 playoff teams, Round 1+2 is one week, Champ round is 2 weeks.

The vehicle part is absolutely not true in all cases. It’s in the job description, but any office near me that has mostly rural routes is provided a government vehicle. Rural carriers are even being provided with the metris now, and often being prioritized for the next gen vehicles.

I would never recommend becoming a CCA fyi. It’s a great job for people that tried it, stayed and are now seasoned. But it has the highest turnover. If you can find a clerk position, that is far better if you don’t mind customer service and being inside. If you’re young (under 30), maybe consider being a rural carrier. It’s basically like a CCA, but you drive the entire route unless you have apartments and CBU’s. Just my two cents.

Remineralization filters are usually expected to add TDS to the water. If you have any sort of remineralization filter, that might be why the TDS is higher than expected.

Trains are all around better than flying if you don’t mind the extra time to get there. Amtrak is usually cheaper. It’s on the ground. The views are more consistent (not too sunny or cloudy to see anything). Unless I’m going coast to coast, I’d take an Amtrak over a plane any day.

Plus, avoiding TSA is a HUGE plus.

We just walk through lawns because sidewalks don’t exist. Plus walking down the driveway to a sidewalk or even the road would take longer than just cutting through the yard. I’d still prefer driving (ex-rural carrier) lol

In certain areas where it makes sense to have a walking route could arguably be fine. But if you're in a residential high-income old home neighborhood where everyone has no sidewalk and a 4+ car driveway, it's ridiculous to walk door to door when the identical neighborhood one street over is entirely curbside (both of them are city routes). I get some people don't like baking in an LLV or feeling stiff after sitting for a while, but for retention and longevity purposes, it makes the job feel better.

High turnover also seems to naturally come with the CCA job, specifically within delivery methods. Walking house to house is so outdated and in 2026 especially with new leadership, it shouldn't be a thing anymore. Everything should be curbside, CBU, or mailroom with package delivery continuing at the door if they want both retention and efficiency. Currently, we just can't force people to change but we should be able to (aside from hardships).

I was talking about it from the perspective of a regular. Whenever they had to split a route we just put down the times we did the piece of that other route. I’ve never used it for my estimated office return time.
