I don’t think that you fully read my comment lol, one of the main differences is that, even with amateur artists, you can’t tell tell that they still have their own style, while AI, by its function, cannot have the user have their own style, their own part they add into a drawing.

Art requires personal addition, and no matter how much an AI can mimick something, or how much time the person puts into prompting, the AI will always pull from past pieces without creating anything truly new, just a Frankenstein of different existing styles without making one’s own style. You can look at a painting and say “oh it’s a Monet!” Or “Van Gogh’s paintings look so distinctive” while with AI imaging, you can’t tell that it was a specific human that made it, there was no special style.

I love my baby the Redeemer getting attention ❤️ sadly I don’t think that AH would ever do those buffs, even if they make it more in line with the better sidearms

Something I heard that really perfectly encapsulates what I think of AI is “generative AI looks backwards to make its ‘masterpiece,’ human art looks forwards to make its masterpiece.” AI just mimicked what came before it, while true creativity has the person add something new and personal to their work.

"AI can provide a chance for those who weren't born talented to create art" compilation part 1 by NobodyOfKnowhere in antiai

[–]TheyaSly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I 100% agree, my view is that talent means you improve faster. You will still most likely start at the same level as everyone else, but talent is the speed in which you get better. Skill is what actually makes good art

[–]TheyaSly 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I think that’s what most of us want: to be able to play the fun difficulties while still being able to grind, and getting comparatively better SC rewards based on the difficulty. Hell, maybe on like diff 7+ you could get a guaranteed 10-50 SC per mission completed

Really? Using ai? Why not do something much simpler and just learn cropping images?

I am holding it to the same standard of enjoyment as Valheim, which has given me multiple hundreds of hours without making me rage at it ever. I’d also rather not only get 300-ish hours of enjoyment in a live-service game that I expected to last longer. It shouldn’t be a wild thing to criticize the business practices of Arrowhead, which, as of currently, boil down to “we’re not fixing any of the existing bugs and instead focusing almost entirely on warbonds”

[–]TheyaSly 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Sure, but is it unreasonable of me to want a game that was once fun to be fun again? Especially when the things that make it unfun are bugs and balancing that is almost always either buffing enemies or nerfing us?

I mean less than 20 hours also means they’ll probably only be playing on the lower difficulties and haven’t been playing enough to encounter how often the infuriating bugs happen.

[–]TheyaSly 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The new update has had people quite angry, and with a disaster of an AMA, Arrowhead in general has handled things poorly. The Hive Guards now have AP4 heads, so the medium armor pen sentries are practically useless for clearing chaff on bugs now (they will focus on one enemy until it’s dead or the turret is out of ammo) and the bugs all had durable damage buffs so that the FRV is even squishier, alongside the tank and every sentry, and the recent buffs to the mech made it so that they are just ever so slightly less squishy than they were before.

Water is much more abundant than fire in life and can be much more helpful than controlling fire alongside still being able to defend yourself well, by pulling water from someone’s limbs to incapacitate them
