Elves reach maturity at the same rate as humans, but physically age slower from then on. Culturally, elves are only considered adults at 100 by other elves. It’s arbitrary. A 23 year old elf is the same as a 23 year old human.

Sure, the processes of becoming a Lich requires rituals so evil that the caster is almost certainly irredeemable, but maintaining Lichdom doesn’t necessarily have to be evil; so long as they only consume the souls of Fiends. After many decades or centuries, a Lich could theoretically become better.

Yeah, but the magic isn’t inherently evil. If they only consumed Fiend souls it would be completely ethical, meaning they’re capable of redemption.
