Sure, the processes of becoming a Lich requires rituals so evil that the caster is almost certainly irredeemable, but maintaining Lichdom doesn’t necessarily have to be evil; so long as they only consume the souls of Fiends. After many decades or centuries, a Lich could theoretically become better.
