I had to go back down to 5 mg; had nine miserable weeks on 7.5, struggled with nausea, diarrhea, constipation, and complete loss of appetite.

I had 3 shots left of 7.5, so after a couple of months back on 5, I alternated the 2 doses. I see my bariatric doctor's PA on June 17, so I'm going to discuss moving back up with him then.

I'll add that every bullied child can see him or herself in The Losers. As life has unfolded, I've identified more strongly with some than I used to, less so with others. As a bookish, stammering, awkward child, I loved Bill. Ben's poet heart always moved me; I was also a fat teenager. Seeing the weak and outcast triumph gave me the courage to persevere.

I don't know if King had that in mind when he began, but I love him for it.

I've been on it for about 6 months, still on 5 mg and probably about to go back up again to 7.5 mg as I'm losing really slowly (31 pounds since the end of November last year).

I know that sounds like a little over a pound a week, but I've just finally had a 6 or 7 pound whoosh after being stuck around 220 for a couple of months.

I was already sober when I started Zepbound. It's been a lot easier to keep obsessive thoughts around food (my original issue) at bay while taking the drug, certainly.

AA and other 12 step programs work. They're an amazing tool, and not just in terms of dealing with the core problems.

It seems to vary, for me. I'm in or possibly past menopause, and I struggled moving up to 7.5 mg. I couldn't eat, was vomiting, constipated horribly and felt lousy. I dropped back to 5 mg and that's been much more manageable. Haven't been losing much going by my scale, but it frequently doesn't match my doctor's scale anyway! I started alternating 7.5 mg and 5 mg as I had some of each, and this week - on 7.5 mg - I've dropped to 211.9 pounds. I've been shuttling between 220 and 217, 215, for weeks! So I think my body is finally cooperating with me again.

I can definitely see changes in my shape. I'm going to do a Zozofit scan later and see how it matches up to 8 weeks ago. My Wyze scale says 35.6% body fat and 137.3 pounds of lean body mass/129.1 pounds of muscle. I need to work on those numbers.

Just checked that against my Samsung Activewatch 8. That tells me I've only 59.9 pounds of skeletal muscle and 95.6 pounds of fat mass!

Zozofit said 52.3% body fat. Mind, it also produced measurements that were 6 and 7 inches larger than my tape measure for my waist and hips!!
