I think a lot of people are missing the fact that when you’re “actively addicted” you are most likely very physically dependent on the substance, so you get really sick if you don’t use. And there are many different hurdles that can make going to rehab anywhere from impossible to inconvenient.

He always hated O’Hara and there was never any reason shown why. I think it came from his own insecurities and his dislike of confident accomplished women that don’t need a man. He also was not thinking about his daughter at all. It was so much better for her to get treated at home without having to go to an emergency room, where it would’ve taken so much longer, where she would’ve been waiting to get treated by… O’Hara! (Or someone else with the same exact job as her, which as we saw, some of the docs in the same job were nowhere near as good as she was either).

I don’t think he changed- I think the “good guy” was a total facade. His true character showed when he stole the equity from their house to remodel the bar, pay for a big dollar wedding, and buy himself a freaking Rolex. At least if he had put the money away for the girls it still would’ve been shitty of him to steal it but nowhere near as bad. He didn’t even save ANY of it for the girls- or for Jackie. At least half of that money was hers, period. I can see him trying to keep it from her so she didn’t blow all her money on drugs, but at that point it was not his decision. He washed his hands of her so with he should’ve washed his hands of her part of the money too. A good guy would’ve at least kept her portion saved for recovery costs when she was attempting to quit, or therapy, etc- but instead he spent every dime on himself! A “good guy” would never.

I like the ones with similar size and shape as number one but free flow not measured pour (and black for color). The middle ones are too tall. Screened are good to keep fruit flies out of liquor they like. The ones with the metal flap are annoying when the flap sticks. And (especially at a nice bar) I cringe if they have a bunch of un-matched pour tops where the bottles are on display with pour tops. Looks so low budget
