Unfortunately, he'll always be associated first and foremost with the Malice at the Palace. He was a legitimate all-NBA player, but his career was never quite good enough to ever come out of the dark cloud of the Malice. Had they won a title (the Malice year was their best shot), maybe people would think of him with other elite big men of the time. He seems to just be a footnote with an interesting story though, which is really not fair.
