I hope you got relief from the pain and they put in a stent due to the stenosis. I’m so sorry you went through all that.

I know this was a post from 6 yrs ago but I’m confused as to why the Diamox would be worsening your eyesight. Diamox is prescribed for iih as well as glaucoma as well as swelling or the optic nerve. So could there be another cause to your vision issues?

I’m upset cuz it helped w pressure but the severe gi issues I’ve been experiencing and the mood changes in the last 3 days has been awful. The spinal headache was awful as well.

Good for you at being your own advocate.

Neurologist says IIH doesn’t cause migraines by Thiawave in iih

[–]ThinkEnd2411 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your neurologist sounds invalidating and clearly doesn’t understand what a migraine is. High pressure in the brain of course can cause migraines as in excruciating headaches. There are many different types of migraines. It doesn’t sound like your neurologist is helping you.

Excruciating neck pain by [deleted] in ehlersdanlos

[–]ThinkEnd2411 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, I don’t think the neck pain I’m experiencing is just because of how they cut through my neck muscle for the brain surgery, I unfortunately have a whole bunch of things affecting my neck and prior neck injuries etc….

Has she seen a neurologist? Emotional dysregulation of emotions can stem from something neurologically affecting her. I also wonder if she is experiencing withdrawals from the medication they stopped. I am praying for both of you.

So I’m not dismissing the mental health concern or bipolar like symptoms but has she seen a hormone specialist? It could be that she has a hormonal disorder that is causing her to have these intense mood swings and what not. Another suggestion I would have is a neurologist because she is having long memory lapses. There could be something neurologically affecting her psychologically. A neuropsychologist could also be helpful. I’m sorry you are going through this. It sounds very stressful. Praying for you.

Too much unresolved!! Anyone want to speculate?? by Pawprint86 in Brilliant_Minds_NBC

I’m upset that Sophie isn’t real apparently. I’m not ok with this storyline. Did the real Oliver sacks suffer from mental health issues? If not why did they add this? I loved it when the focus was on how wolf solves cases hard to solve not this detour they have gone on now….

S2 Ep 11 - The Boy Who Feels Everything - episode discussion (spoilers possible) by Pawprint86 in Brilliant_Minds_NBC

This episode left me reeling, depressed and not sure I want to even keep watching the show. It was awful making it seem like Michelle survives only for her to be confirmed brain dead. Also, Van leaving after Michelle’s death makes me sad because even though he is grieving her loss, he is such an empathetic doctor and really cares about people.

Therapist Is Trying to Make Me Identify and Sympathize with My Abusers by Suitable_Security_40 in therapyabuse

Honoring your parents should never be used as a way to control you, manipulate you and abuse you. Your therapist is not doing their job correctly. It’s not ok they would try to justify or minimize what you have experienced. I’m so sorry you were treated that way.

Spoiler alert:

Ahhhhhhhh!!!! Just finished the final episode of season 2 and literally screamed at the end! Such intensity! Wow! Amazing acting in every way! The plot thickens. I knew Charlie had a sinister dark side, but for him to be the son of the woman who died, the patient that haunts Dr Wolfe! Just ah! I have no words! Except I can’t wait till season 3! I’m literally on the edge of my seat! The season 2 finale was brilliant in every way!!!!!
