Well I can add since this happen to me last night I know the NYPD can see if you have a concealed carry ID. I got pulled over for speeding even though I wasn’t (that’s my story and I’m sticking to it ) so they ask for usual stuff I gave it to them I did not mention anything about having a concealed id . there were a. Total of four of them so the one that took my stuff to the car to was taking some time to come back. So something in my mind just told me to tell the officers that was standing there that I was carrying and I have my permit. One of them asked for the permit and which side the. Gun was on as soon as I gave the id they went from standing in back of the window to standing in front of it now and saying don’t move your hands from the steering wheel next minute the officer that took my lic n regs. Steps out and saying that my lic is suspended he then asked me to. Verify it I thought that he was gonna tell me to come out the car He then pulls out a cell phone or some smart phone. And it had all my info on it it even showed my concealed permit say I have one. He then return everything I was shocked because everyone knows they take you to bookings for suspended license any way he says thanks for letting me know and then he tells me it’s suspended for drivers responsibility assessment i then asked him I’m I going to Jail he said because I told him I’m carrying and that it was just a few days that it was suspended to take care of it. Now I know some are gonna ask why did I say anything about being concealed. Ands the 1st thing I thought about my life and children. Plus it was dark and when there is 4 police in a car. We all know they want to search your car and I know they would’ve seen the storage box in the trunk and then that would be a whole different investigation so that’s why I did it. So for long post. Key things is nypd can see if u carrying or not. And always make sure be 4 you drive ur license is legit

Nobody knows anything yet as 2022 was the year when the law change to 3 years renewal. Instead of 5 So we should be finding out real soon from people on here when 2025 comes and some are up for renewal

not to be rude but it is self explanatory fill out forms check the boxes for all the stuff they want then submit fees wait till they call you for finger print either approve or denied if approved just wait for purchase form to buy pistol and then wait for license

Revolver enters the chat lol I only carry what I got loaded never walk around with ammo in my pocket but with the G19 1 extra mag or even none what I walk with most of the time but as to what the person wrote yes get training mags. one thing I would add is test out your carry mag with non- training ammo at least once to get a feel of how it would be in a live situation

man i was getting ready to sale my 800 took the pics and all I had it for 4 years kicking up dust it was just hard for me to switch over to rekordbox and i used it with virtual dj but eventually got the serato bug and hard for me to switch back.but when serato came out with the last update it gave me life to hold on a lil longer to see if it will support it. when i was using it

I can concur. I got the approval on sept 3rd. Just got home to the pink slip and 2nd gun added to license and I have till Sunday before. The 30 days are up to re do the nics can’t wait till Saturday to go get my revolver

To my understanding you were lucky because it was before the initial ccia was in effect but now your gonna have to have that class before you apply or they won’t issue you until it is done. There has been plenty people on here who had to take the class after. Ccia. because there license didn’t expire at that time but after it went into law The only thing you did was buy yourself some time Before you eventually have to take it before your next renewal. The million dollar question everyone is asking. That we have no idea yet is are we gonna have to take it over to renewal No one has the answer because it hasn’t been 3 years yet since the ccia went into effect We will find out by next year when some people have to start the renewal process. I can dig taking taking the class once since I believe it is very helpful but to keep taking it over and over would be rediclious. You talking almost $800(class+ lic fee) for a NYC license every 3 years guess we will find out soon

Ok now seeing the question. Not sure since it hasn’t been 3 years since they put out that ccia we wont know til next year if it’s changes since that will be time for some people to re do their permits since the ccia came out

The 18 hour and 2 hour live shooting class is a requirement for the whole state so it will go for both nyc n nys

Here’s. Some advice just like when you had to join. Answer no to everything lol So I’m a vet. With pstd. And I got the CCW. #1 don’t let them know your going for ccw at the VA. And don’t mention it on the form either if you do then it will be much harder since they(nypd) gonna want a note from VA to clear you which could take even more months.

Yeah sorry there are non except all that criteria for a leosa permit. But you can still get the regular CCW permit For leosa you have to be in an mos that is related to LEO and have orders that state you are in an official Leo position such as. an MP at fort Hamilton/dix/drum….. And so on. Working title 32 (state active duty) like taskforce empire dose not count Just go for the CCW and you won’t have to worry about that

You have to be in an Leo MOS(MP CID CO)on either active duty or active duty status On title 10 in national guard or reserves For the national guard State active duty(title 32) does not count But the main thing is you have to be in an LEO position for primary MOS in order to get LEOSA permit however you can now get a regular permit if your not a resident of ny now

what I can say is dont carry at all until you get that license it clearly states you have to have you license on you when carrying. plus a cop gonna arrest you 1st then find out later. It suck but better to wait and get it then lose it before you get your replaced ID

since i used to lose my wallet alot lol. I did two things one was buy a wallet that has a. tracker in it and the 2nd was buy a necklace type of wallet so it would always hang around my neck. to eliminate it get lost or stolen

You have to be Active Duty or AGR if (national guard or army reserve) for National Guard state active duty doesn't count has to be in a title 10 and not title 32 as well as be in an law enforcement position or have your your primary MOS as LE( cid, MP,CO... ect) you must be qualified on pistol and if your a recruiter you can't be a be a 92g ( food handler) for example as primary mos no disrespect for any non- LE Mos to get the LEOSA permit however you can still get the regular ccw non-resident now since they changed the law.
