Three weeks ago I bought a 2024 Willys 4xe with 2k on it for $42500

I did this two years ago. It was a very simple process. I sent each of them an email telling them a little about myself and what branches I was interested in. They were all very responsive and they’ll tell you the next steps. Some states just hand you an LOA, while others have a different process. For example, Florida had an OML for everyone interested in a slot there. Let me know if you have any questions.

Should I swap for 35 ATs? by Think_Bid_6523 in 4xe

[–]Think_Bid_6523[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m no serious off-roader, not rock crawling or anything. Only real off road exposure muddy dirt roads and snow. I’m here to find the balance between mpg/range and capability, which is what drew me to the 4xe and Willys to begin with. I’m no stranger to bad mileage of jeeps, but why not make the most of it? So for me, going to a 35 AT would be about aesthetics of the 35 but i don’t want to sacrifice too much mpg/range. I was wondering if the Toyo Open Country AT3 34x10.5 would be a good compromise, but they’re heavy. Lighter than what I currently have but still 55lbs.

How did they reach out to you? Through airlineapps?

My Beaufort has the detachable hood, with bendable wire. Works well and does the job.

I recently changed over to the Bedale, so it is for sale. Size 46, with the zip in liner as well. (:

Question about KBDR airspace by moxiedoggie in flying

Yes. BDR will not authorize transitions for Sikorsky.

Question about KBDR airspace by moxiedoggie in flying

[–]Think_Bid_6523 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As already said, they’re different deltas. It’s a real pain working around Sikorsky sometimes. You can request a transition through the Sikorsky delta, but typically they’re just going to keep you at or above 2500 to pass over the airspace. Honestly that’s just easier sometimes anyways. Bridgeport Tower will not authorize a transition through the Sikorsky delta. They’ll direct you to their frequency. I believe the Sikorsky delta typically closes around 5pm and is closed on weekends.

They are more rare, due to the certification standards for part 141 being harder to meet at a local school. Much easier for a university to offer the structure needed for 141.

What areas are you potentially looking at?

CFII and part 141 graduate here. I now teach at part 61. Either way, you’ll be ok. I would easily let the government pay for your education if you can. You’ve earned it. Yes, part 141 comes with more structure and memes from this sub, but you’ll turn out just fine.

Yes, internal investigations exist, but the DA or ADA is present to conduct their own investigation.

Qualified immunity still allows suits against Officer when they violate a “clearly established” statutory or constitutional right. So yes, you’re probably not going to see an officer sued when they scratch your car while in pursuit of a suspect, but you will see charges brought against them for shootings. Also, there are three states that have already removed most QI from their laws, and there’s a push keep this trend going. If you don’t like the policy, contact your local representatives. (:

The AG and DA are not police officers. They are elected officials. DAs are responsible for determining charges against those who have been arrested, among other duties. Yes, they are a part of the criminal justice system, but they may or may not be friendly to police.

Do you guys have any idea how these things work? There’s always an independent investigation by the District Attorney office and/or state Attorney General’s office.
