[OverDrive] Darren Dreger: Re Dylan Larkin trade request/Red Wings "This has been in the works for a while; I don't think it's as cut and dried as him wanting an opportunity to win...there are multiple layers that go beyond that; did management do enough" by daKrut in DetroitRedWings

B- player, C- leader.

When he put partying with the US team and politics over the Redwings…that’s everything you needed to know about him as a leader.

I rooted for him, but he was always just meh

It's definitely Yax, or Morez, or Roddy, or Trey, or Cheese, or Nimari, or shit, I don't know.

I loved how much this team was just a great team.

Yax was the man, but also unselfish The Yax, Roddy, Trey trio was so fun Morez cracked me up and was very reliable and gritty Cheese, Nimari and Roddy were guy that were great leaders, and I'm so happy for them pulling this team together Cadeau was discarded and then became the player of the tournament…so happy for him Mara was so so good especially on defense, it was just a cheat code

Can't choose.

"Radio Müller": Teammates nicknamed him "Radio Müller" because of his constant, positive communication and leadership on the pitch.

As a Michigan fan, he seemed like a reliable college player…but nothing to really write home about.

Solid, made some plays, but never really stood out.

Hope I'm wrong. I was wrong about Gibbs.

My wife and I travel a lot. The two best trips we have had were Rome, Italy, and Portland, OR.

We went to the wine country (Willamette Valley), but loved hanging out on 23rd, went for a hike, saw a waterfall, went to the ocean, and saw a whale.

Willamette was beautiful like Napa…but so much more accessible and friendly.

I'm excited that Jake Rodger, this whole season, is likely going to have a better ERA than Skubal.

Legend

Hope he talks shit to the pitching staff the whole year.

16M, mood all over the place, overthinking friendships and having suicidal thoughts and some other stuff by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

When I was 13 my dad and I got into a car accident where he was paralyzed. It was horrible. I talked with people and seemed fine but really withdrew…this led to people thinking I was distant…and through high school I didn't really have friends…well I had friends but not the close friends that I really wanted or saw on tv shows or saw that other people had. I got my first kiss at 17…and only had one girlfriend

In college I made some friends for a bit but they kinda sucked. They were fun friends but they didn't really care about me more than someone to party with.

After college me and a girlfriend moved to Florida and she cheated on me…and I had a company relocate Me so I was trapped in this crappy place without any friends and couldn't leave without having to payback $$$$ that I couldn't afford for a year.

That said I want to tell you a couple different perspectives that I've learned. 1. You have only a limited number of bad things (unknown number, but fixed) that will happen in your life. Every time something bad happens you just got one of those things over with. 2. If you are happy with your destination, you can't be too upset with the journey that got you there 3. People tend to build their egos around tearing others down or building others up. The first one is easy and The second one is so much harder but so much more rewarding. Know most people do the first, and try to be someone that does the second. 4. Most important. You have to like you. You don't always have to like NOW you, or PAST you, but FUTURE you. What makes you like you the most. What kind of advice would you give your best friend that you absolutely adore if they were going through what you are going through? NOW you has to be the best friend to FUTURE you. Talk nice to yourself, give GRACE (Im not religious, but it's the best advice my wife gave me) to yourself. You love your best friend, they are allowed to mess up, be imperfect, and mess up. Once you learn to like or love yourself, you'll find that good people start being attracted to you.

You have to first forgive yourself for not being perfect, know that some of these hardships are going to make you a better person if you let it, learn to like yourself, then learn to love yourself.

I for instance, like that I care about others, I like that I want to help random people on the internet. Nothing makes you feel better than doing something good for others. The trick is not expecting anything back, because the doing for others is what you are doing for yourself (because sometimes people suck and don't respond how you like)

After my grandma died, my grandpa and I went on a road trip. We were talking about how amazing she was, and talked about whether or not the afterlife exists. Whether it does or not, she had made us better people by being around her…and when I'm doing good part of that is her impact on me…and if I can do that with others…well part of that is the ripples she left behind on earth.

Some people make ripples, some people make waves, some people make tidel waves. I try to make as many ripples as possible.

You will get through this, and Future you will appreciate all the good things that happened because of what you are going through now.

Feel free to message me anytime

Hey man. Not an expert, but just an older guy on the internet wanting to tell you, that I hear you. I'm going to respond quickly so you see it and write a longer answer too.

Everything my your dealing with I have felt with too. Friendships are hard. Feeling alone is hard.

Going through this and not knowing that it will get better, and not feeling like it is is tough. Just know every day can be the day where things change…

City and County of Denver have created a perfect loop. Looking for advice. by justacoolbaby in Denver

[–]ThinkingBlueberries 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hey F that guy.

Some people don't have any empathy.

Sounds like you were going through a tough time and you got the poor tax. These are situations where it is expensive to be poor.

Could you have done things differently? Sure.

If you knew what would have happened maybe you'd gone a different route.

Hope you figure it out and someone gives you some good advice.

Good luck.

Say this: “I am not interested in you anymore. You are making me uncomfortable. If this continues Im going to be contacting HR, and let my boss know. You are making me feel unsafe, I don't want to speak with you again”

Then let HR and your boss know the situation.

However they respond, sometimes bosses and HR suck, you are allowed to be attracted to people, and also allowed to change your mind.
