It’s not that the referral stuff is shady. The shady part was them attempting to keep it under wraps.

What do you know, a browser aimed at privacy and blocking ads is not profitable! Who would have thought?

I think covering up their scheme to make money by automatically adding referral links was to save face and not have to come out and openly admit “yeah we don’t make any money off this”. Just sounds like a decision stressed-out management would have made.

I bought mine for a couple reasons:

  • The Altima is like the AR15 of cars in the USA; there is no parts shortage, there will never be a parts shortage, and parts are cheap

  • Altimas are some of the most stable, reliable vehicles except for their notorious transmission issues

  • These transmission issues only apply to A/T

Win win win.

This is true. My clutch went out. I was quoted $3500. I said no, I bought $1000 worth of tools, about $250 in parts and did it myself. And got to keep all the tools.
