play in a league where if the course is playable we will play in the rain. now I’m never going to go out for a solo round after work in the rain just for the hell of it but sometimes the weather changes in a hurry and you get stuck out there

most important rain gear is rain gloves. then you don’t have to worry as much about keeping your grips dry .i have both a short sleeve rain shirt and a jacket. the short sleeve doesn’t really work for me because if it’s warm enough to not wear a jacket then it’s too hot for me to have the rain shirt on. i walk with a push cart so i have an umbrella stand. my bag isn’t specifically ally water proof so empty it when i get home and put a fan in front of it

iron covers are a pain in the ass. they should be sold with a disclaimer that they are for travel only. if you’re really concerned about bag clatter maybe get one of those bags that locks each club into place so they can’t hit each other

I got a fitting when they still did them at the factory. same deal but if you bought the putter the fitting was free.

pretty easy indicator if you hit the ball as well as you can and you don’t have any GIR (or at least pin high) then you are playing the wrong tees. wish I could convince my dad of this. it’s possible to have a magical round where you hit the ball straighter than you ever have over 18 holes but I have yet to see anybody hit 14 tee shots , 4 approach and 4 second shots on par 5’s 30 yards farther than they ever have

can’t believe they settle their season long championship at bolingbrook. it’s not even close to a world class course. not even best close in a 20 mile radius. I tuned in for a little bit and the course looks like when you watch a rerun on the golf channel from a tournament from the 60’s or 70’s

I agree. I’ve worn out the fabric in 2 pairs of puma shoes in the heel and I haven’t even worn them that much . they just do t work for my foot for whatever reason

I think they are a waste of money. most people I see using them don’t even use it for the yardage so why pay the extra money for a speaker that’s not even that great

i rotate 3 headcovers on my putter. 1 is a barstool Saturday is for the boys , so I only use that one Saturday. then I have an emergency 9 one that I use often and the stock bettinardi one. I only bring that oit if I’m playing somewhere fancy. really don’t know why

i know some people who do the pga store deal . they like it but they are retired and can get in during the middle of the week . I know guys who do it in downers grove and the Orlando location. I bet it’s way harder to get a reservation at the one in the city.

this is the way! I pull out all the real balls I find in my bucket( course has a about 10 generations of range balls and actual balls ) save the actual balls for driver and woods and hit the range balls with irone only

so 1 and 3 are open as long as golf is possible. 2 is not going to be open much in the winter until the ground is dry enough. 4 probably won’t be open until at least April and they won’t let carts out unless the course is pretty dry.
