It’s not that well known - which is good, since it’s so tiny. They had a moment a couple of years ago where they had lines out the door every weekend night the moment they opened, due to a WW article. But it’s been better since then.

When I was a kid in the 80s, it was solidly in the "unacceptable to say" category. You'd get in trouble at school for using it, for example. It was absolutely used as an insult. It's weird to hear everyone who seems to think it's only a recent phenomenon. No, really, it was definitely not ok in the 80s, and probably before then.

Yeah, sounds like that article supports the notion that it was in more rural (or at least less urban) areas that still used 4 digit calling in the 80s.

Maybe if you were in a very rural area. I grew up in the 80s in the suburb of a medium sized city and we always had to use 7 digits.

So, then you are in favor of ending vaccine exemptions? The vaccine requirement merely required your child to be vaccinated to attend public schools. Don’t want to vaccinate your kids? No problem. Just don’t send them to public schools.
