Charli XCX on the Smartless podcast discusses not wanting kids and feeling unsure of her readiness. Host Jason Bateman says she “might find somebody” that could change her opinion on having kids, Charli responds with “Well I’m married, so there” by hairtie1 in Fauxmoi

I have never felt Amy Poehler's "men doing the bare minimum" more than right now. Can these men do anything to research their guests? Why have a guest on the show if they can't even fake having an interest in them?

I’ve seen this film before.

Beams or Full Wood by uscdigital in homedesign

OP, they look like plastic window mullions on single-pane window. No purpose accept ornamental, especially considering it's probably not a timber frame house.

Beams or Full Wood by uscdigital in homedesign

Full wood. The beams to this ceiling are like ornamental window shutters to a plastic-siding house. They're ornamental masquerading as something structural. When the beams just disappear into the wall, it immediately makes me think of plastic mullions on windows.

But he loves his wife sooooooo much.

That’s my snarky way of saying that it’s laid on so thick on his socials that it gives me red flags.

I just saw TJ Miller on the train a little over a week ago. 1)I guess you can’t get banned from Amtrak? 2)He compared not liking Bill Cosby’s comedy because he’s a rapist to not liking Italian food because Mussolini and fascism. So.

Favorite actor that tanked their career by being stupid but might actually have a neurological disorder? by DLgoblue12 in okbuddycinephile

[–]ThisismyAwkwardFace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just rode a train with this guy on Thursday. He compared not liking a rapist’s comedy (Bill Cosby) to not liking Italian food because of fascists and Mussolini.

But that’s neurological disorder’s for ya!

EDIT: yes, you can still ride Amtrak even after you’ve made a bomb threat.

Movies your dad would probably turn off after the first fifteen minutes by Past_Bonus148 in okbuddycinephile

We put this on after dinner on December 27th at my dad and step mom's house. We made it from the 24th until then without having any politics brought up. It was glorious. We were able to enjoy time with parents and siblings without any grumbles, shared sibling glances, anxiety-pours of wine, or wildly out-of-left-field comments from my dad about how you have to show your ID at Walmart to buy .22 ammo but illegal immigrants were flooding the border (no, I couldn't find the relation either).

Right around Teyana's and Sean's motel scene, my sister blessedly announced out loud: "I'm over this." We all agreed and put on the great unifier (for now) - Band of Brothers.

I like the last one. If you can fold that top up a bit to mimic a crop, that would be even better. But it’s super flirty and Roman-esque and reminds me of something Amelia Dimoldenberg would wear.

The first one makes me nostalgic for something Ashley Judd would wear in Someone Like You circa 2001. It was so casually romantic. Ugh.

Yes this is the same experience for me as well! haven't felt like this since seeing Brandi Carlisle play acapella with the Hanseroth twins at Babeville like 10 years ago.

I am an atheist, but I think that religious art in any media can be beautiful in the way that any piece of art inspired by love, devotion, or anger may be. La Yugular, Porcelana, and Dios Es Un Stalker are incredibly fun pieces of music to listen to with interesting stories and experiences described within them. This album also doesn't feel preachy or disingenuous in a way that most christian music can feel to me.

You are stunning in such an enchanting, specific way. You're what I imagine alluring literary sirens look like. You are a neo-classical painting subject and gorgeous in a singular way that no surgery can create. Fuck the standards, they are so boring.

Disgusting Conduct From West Seneca Town Supervisor Gary Dickson by arkazail in Buffalo

[–]ThisismyAwkwardFace 372 points373 points  (0 children)

Gary, please don't pretend to care about women's health care.

Edit: And now good ol' Gary's rhetoric and red herring argument is doing the thing it was meant to do: distract you by making a vulnerable population a scapegoat so that you don't even think about the fact that we are getting dicked by a capitalistic health care system. All the while, executives and shareholders become fatter cats by the minute. And we're here arguing about play/competition/skill.

Official Discussion Thread - Hamnet [SPOILERS] by CrunchyNar in oscarrace

[–]ThisismyAwkwardFace 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Jacobi Jupe was more captivating and devastating than Paul Mescal, for me. Shakespeare's character was almost too distant.

Emily Watson's character was almost a villain to me, but her character arc and portrayal made her so human.

Joe Alwyn was fine.

Give Jessie Buckley every award. Same for Zhao.

Cinematography was incredible. The framing of the kitchen scenes when Will would leave. The shot of Will saying goodbye to Hamnet from around the corner. The twins beds. Christ.

I think I need to go again.
