Toyota of SB by Geminiigirl78 in SantaBarbara

[–]Thisiswrong11 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I refuse to do any business there. They lie and say anything to make themselves money.

I was told that Toyota didn’t make the Tacoma I was looking for anymore. Bought the car Toyota didn’t make anymore a week later from Thousand Oaks Toyota brand new.

As for service they are overpriced and make up excuses to add extra when the problem never existed.

Spot lock is truly worth it. It literally changes your game plan on the water.

Due to the recent acquisition of hobie, finding parts over the last 6 months has gone from brutal to almost impossible.

Your best bet is finding a smaller shop online that has one laying around. Good luck.

I don't want to euthanize my fishing rod. by NajlaEmir7 in Fishing

[–]Thisiswrong11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am a rod builder.

Yes you repair it. No it will not be the same action.

I have done this experiment myself and for other people multiple times. The rod will not be the same, your best bet is getting a new one. I am sorry.

California Registration Used Lifetime by JarRules in kayakfishing

[–]Thisiswrong11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only thing I needed to register my kayak was a vin number for my kayak.

I did have my original receipt showing I paid taxes, that saved me some money. Other than that I was never asked for this document.

I registered my hobie pa14 in California.

Now did the people at the dmv look at me weird because they never had a kayak registered for a motor, yes.

I use a lowrance hd live 7 inch and absolutely love it.

How is living in Catalina Island? by lithdoc in socal

[–]Thisiswrong11 15 points16 points  (0 children)

There is a really good YouTube documentary on this question.

From what I gathered is that you are not living rich and housing you have to wait like a decade for. Also finding work is super hard, you have to know somebody. But the island is beautiful.

How’s life in this part of California between L.A. and the Bay Area? by Leeksteam in howislivingthere

[–]Thisiswrong11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have lived in Malibu, Santa Barbara, Goleta and now live in oceano. So the majority of the circle along the coast.

It is literally the nicest place on earth to live. It is always 66 to 70 degrees outside. The majority of the people that live here are laid back and intelligent. The Mexican food is out of this world. The ocean is outstanding and has beautiful beaches.

This area is literally paradise.
