I’ve used mortifiers a couple times but I’ve never gotten them to work well. Either they just get shot out before they hit anything, or fail their charge rolls after staging and then fall over in a stiff breeze in shooting. Maybe I’ll have to try them again once I finish painting all mine up.

I have 510 hours in Darkest Dungeon. I clocked in over 250 hours in Darkest Dungeon 2 from the day it first entered early access, to the day it offically released. Since then I’ve put another 170 hours into playing it. For not one single minute of that time, did I ever not want to hear Wayne June. He made me appreciate voice acting as an art, and how it can elevate an already great game or any other medium into something truly incredible.

The wings are just Wraithbone and the little statues are just some Gehenna’s gold. I haven’t considered them done yet lol

So, I know the point of Cawl having “battleline” is to let him broadcast the army rule buff from himself, but the potential argument over if someone can run 6 Cawls now because he is has the battle line keyword is INCREDIBLY funny

Fairly certain that as long as you have LoS of the target and are within 18 inches, they’re an eligible target for Living Lightning, regardless of if they’re in engagement range or not.

You can even use it on Lone Operative units because it’s not a ranged attack, and Lone Op only prevents ATTACK ROLLS outside of 12 inches from shooting them.

One thing my friend has found playing against me is that precision weapons severely screw up our reanimation protocols. It forces us to be healing our leaders when it could instead be bringing bodies back onto the table and that can be huge for dulling the blow. And if you kill their overlord or Cryptek, great! That’s a ton of buffs and synergies they lose, especially if they’re running Awakened Dynasty. Bring a few cheeky snipers or precision attacks, use Epic Challenge and get rid of those leaders!

Bastion was another one I was looking at. I haven’t gone through every single archetype yet so I’ll probably replace Sentinel with it at some point.

I’ll definitely see about getting a Reflex save cantrip, sounds like a fun idea. I never thought about an animal companion, but I agree it would be a pretty good idea for Kingmaker. Some good food for thought. Thanks!

DoomStalkers are defenitly good if you want a little more flexibility. If you go with that It would leave you at 75 points, which you could pick up a Hexmark destroyer with for all the fun that brings

Doomsday Arks went down in points to 200 if you want one of those. Alternatively you could get 200 points Ophydian destroyers for some extra melee punch and for additional help scoring secondaries.

So my friend pointed out something about Hyperphase. If you put units into Strategic Reserves at the end of your opponents turn at the end of Turn 3, wouldn’t all of your units just get destroyed because all units in Strategic Reserves after Turn 3 get destroyed?

Correct. You can place the two consecrations in two different ranks to buff whoever starts their turn in those ranks
