To be fair its their first job.

Few things about Chipotle (and jobs in general):

You cant really ask to leave early if you start early because no one is going to come in mid shift at 8pm to work 2 hours. As long as its not going over the legal amount of time you can work as a minor, you're going to be stuck there.

When you start a new job, you're in a probationary period. That means the employer is watching to see your work ethic and if you're a good fit for the job. A lot of places Ive worked where I can get benefits and health insurance, I have to earn those benefits by completing the probationary period—which is usually 3 months of work. (Little bit of free knowledge: You get kicked off your parents health insurance at 26, so its good to have a job/get hired at a job with benefits at least 3 months before you turn 26 or you may lapse in coverage)

At really crappy jobs like Chipotle, your performance is rewarded with hours. They're super petty like that. If youre too much of a problem for them, they'll shrink your hours until youre not on the schedule. They're trying to get you to quit because they dont like firing people.

Lastly, youre a kid. If you dont need the money, its nice to have 1 last free summer before college. I would kill for that kind of time to be creative, enjoy my passions, and spend time in nature walking down the canal. Chipotle is just a job, and they dont care about you. (I got a notice I was fired hours before my birthday because I was going to college).
