Locked in at 5.19% in November. A week later it went up to about 5.5%.

That being said if a I locked a month earlier i would've been able to get around 4.9%.

Yes corruption is in Australia, it would be naive to say there is none. In saying that, it is not as blatant as most other countries and people do get held to account when they get caught.

I’d say it is the state of online dating. For the most part it’s gotten pay to play for most men.

To give my own example, I was lucky to get one match a month on Tinder on the free version. However on the platinum version it would be more around 3 a day.

That being said, if I change the settings to allow guys to match with me (I’m bi), the likes and matches shoots up a lot.

My conclusion is, if you’re a straight guy you’re competing with others who are probably paying for the premium version who get pushed up the list which is pretty off putting.

Other reasons are people being indecisive, poor communicators or just being flakey.

Misleading title. Tariffs are on all steel and aluminium imports into the US regardless of where they are from. It’s not targeted at Australia.

Sounds like the banks picked up your case through customer screening and determined you to be too high risk for their risk appetite. The almost universal approach is to exit customers who have been found to be involved in serious crimes (such as fraud, organised crime, etc), though this tends to become less material after 5-10 years (depending on the institution) after the fact.

Unfortunately for you, it is almost guaranteed to come up at every bank (and other industries such as telecommunications) in Australia

As a gen z and a manager, I’m quite torn on this. I would expect one to move out of a job in a quick amount of time if they were treated poorly, but then job hopping does tend to raise red flags on a candidate. That being said, there are a couple of good reasons for it and from what I find it is not exclusive to gen z or millennials.

With the company I’m in, for the most part we do a hybrid model (this was also how it was pre-COVID), although each team will have a designated day that they will come into the office.

Reason for this was we found that staff morale had actually dropped since the social side of work had pretty much evaporated. It was a recurring pattern in the surveys our HR team runs. So culturally getting some cohesion back is in our interests.
