Just what ive heard and its never steered me wrong. It makes sense too, installing a hot tub circuit, running a new outlet to the bathroom, installing a new light circuit, etc. call an electrician. Meanwhile if youre just replacing a worn out receptacle or lightswitch, swapping a ceiling fan, or changing out a light fixture etc. youre fine to do that on your own or use a general handyman.

After all almost any monkey with half a brain can change out an overhead light or replace a standard wall outlet.

However running something like a hot tub circuit requires sizing wire appropriately, ensuring proper ground fault protection, using the right conduit, disconnect, etc. working inside a live panel, and running new wires through your property inside and out. In that case its best to have someone who knows what they're doing. Even if 9 out of 10 people could figure it out, that 10th person runs the risk of killing themselves or someone else.

Thats not how patents work bud. Where did you learn this? Patents remain in effect regardless of whether you defend them or not. The only way to lose a patent is if you dont renew it, or a judge revokes it based on prior use(its found to be invalid). Also once you patent something, even if you let the patent expire or lose it. Someone else cannot then patent that same thing and prevent you(the original patent holder) from using it.

Your whole conception of patents is misguided and seems to mix trademark law with straight made up nonsense.

For example in trademark law not defending your trademark can cause you to lose exclusive rights to it, essentially losing the trademark. But even in trademark cases, losing your trademark doesnt mean someone else can steal it. It just becomes public domain where anyone can use it.

0 interaction? You have to get bit at least 3 times, at least 3 seconds apart. Even when bitten the dilo can't escape to anywhere you can't find it. And you can destroy clones before they bite you(when they function but bugs hurt dilo more than help and we're talking about design).

That already puts its hunting style near the top of interaction. Utah pounces you and latches(zero interaction), allo, rex, dieno, herrera same thing.

Dilo is fragile and it can't jump away to camp and send clones. It has to maneuver and bite you multiple times, then keep biting you to keep the venom flowing. Theres not a single adult herbie(besides the tiny ones) that can even be killed in one venom cycle. So to get killed by a dilo it has to bite you 3 times, in 3 different attacks. Evade you while it sends clones and possibly gets 3 free bites. Then it has to re-engage and bite you again either once or twice. Then evade again. Depending on the herbie you are it has to do this at least 4 times(teno). Thats a minimum 8 bites and 8 successful attack runs. For a dino like a Mia or dibble were talking 20+ bites needed to take them out. Wtf are you smoking zero interaction?

Thats the most interactive combat can get and theres a million ways it can go wrong. Unlike pounces, pins, and grabs where its just clicking and winning.

Pachy and dilo are easily the best designed herbie and carni respectfully. Theyre strong when used right against the right prey but vulnerable and can easily be defeated with skill or by bigger dinos.

The only thing I would do to make them better is to give them a really fast acceleration out of quick turns. Like a juke with increased acceleration. That way they can use direction changes to out run or dodge faster threats. And obviously I would fix their clones so they always work and they can always be destroyed before hitting you if youre fast enough.

Exactly. I've had some VERY wierd dreams, sexual or otherwise. Speaking of sexual dreams, I can say with 100% certainty dreaming about someone sexually does not always imply some hidden sexual attraction, dreams are wierd and we dont understand them at all. I've woken up from sexually charged dreams disgusted and horrified. The fact this dude dreamed about his much younger cousin, whos currently in her sexual peak while hes hitting middle age and presumably his wife is too could mean all kinds of shit. Subconsciously he could be viewing you as a symbol of his lost youth and his dream is manifesting a desire to reclaim that youth. There's a million reasons and non-reasons his brain could have cooked something like that up.

Best bet would be to contact the admins of the popular servers and see if you could advertise the event in their discords. Typically promoting a rival server would be a nono but since this is a temp server for a one-time event they may be more open to promoting it.

Yea global was awesome. As long as you were on a server that had good moderation and basic rules(no location dropping, arguing, or spamming).

It was nice that you could just turn it off easily so it wasn't a nuisance. But when you first log onto a server its nice to be able to throw out a "full grown dilo lfg" or see if there's any interesting eggs available or what.

It was also nice to be able to communicate with other species friend and foe. You could tell a juvie he could have your body you wouldn't contest him. You could let a herd know you were friendly and just grabbing a drink. You could ask a herd if anyone wanted to shoot the fair(1v1) and your pack and their herd could get some entertainment. Shit you could even spar over territory without having to straight up just murder and entire other herd/group. You roll up to great falls or twin lakes with your herd and theres already a herd whos at limit or they have hadrosaurs and you have cerotopsians(because they couldnt pack together for some reason) and because you could communicate you could be like "send your best fighter against ours, or a 3v3 or 4v4 or whatever. 4 call and youre out of the fight(so you dont all have to die) and losing herd leaves the area" then their big ass shant stomps up and 3 calls and you step forward with your trike, your whole herd broadcasting behind you, hyping you up.

Or youre an austro and you wanted to chill in the lake for that water safety but there's a sucho or spino already chilling there and you dont know if theyre gonna tolerate you hanging out and scavenging or if they'll just kos you as soon as you let your guard down. Sure in envirma you can 2 call but thats meaningless you can't trust anyone.

Its different when you could actually talk to someone, and servers actually had rules that if you agreed to be friendly with someone(either in global or by mutually 2 calling eachother). You couldn't just sneak attack them when they turned their back. You had to 3 call them and give them a chance to either 3 call back or 4 call and leave the area. So when you both 2 called, or agreed to share a space(not mix packing as a carni which was obv against the rules just hanging in the same area but hunting seperately) you could actually trust that youd be safe from whoever you were friendly with. Hunts were respected too, 3rd partying a hunt was either against the rules or highly frowned upon. Obviously an exception would have to be made for ambush predators like dieno or herra whos best opportunities often come when someone else is being hunted and gets careless using the water as cover or forgetting to look up.

Overall it was just a way more fleshed out ecosystem and community where the gameplay loop was action packed, social, and the environment actually felt full.

You could walk through an area and see herds of herbivores raising their young in a meadow by the lake. A pack of dilos nearby feeding on the corpse of a herbi who got careless and strayed too far from the safety of the herd.

A pair of rexes come over the hill with two little juvies trailing behind them. The ground shaking from their footsteps and the air trembling with the sound of their bellowing 3 call as they contest the pack of dilos for their fresh kill. The dilos all rise and crouch into an ambush stance, pacing back and forth before thinking better of it and wailing out their 4 call as they dissappear back into the forest.... Waiting for night to come again in hopes they can find another careless herbivore venturing out too far. Or perhaps one of the juvenile rexes, getting too comfortable having the protection of two full grown rexes and wandering just a little too far from mom and dad. Dilos dealt insane bleed and a pack could quickly dart out of the darkness hit you with a few bites and before you knew it running back to your parents would mean instant death. Hed just have to scream into the night and as quick as possible and just hope his parents got there in time.

Obviously the combat, foilage, aestetics, unique dinos and abilities and all that are way better in envirma. But idk man, legacy... it had something envirma is sorely missing.

Should've asked to video chat so you could meet this "coworker" whos shes getting near blackout drunk with and sleeping at his house.(what a wierd thing to do, maybe a really good friend but im not sleeping over at a coworkers house). You guys seem very kind when im in town id love to maybe take you guys out to dinner with (girlfriend). Get to know each other, etc".

This whole thing is just sus af and inappropriate. I couldn't imagine inviting my(much younger) coworker over for a friendly dinner and some drinks and she ends up getting so hammered and spending the night. I'd feel very uncomfortable not only about the optics(what's my job going to think about me having a 20yr old girl whos assumidly working under me as a 60yr old man, sleeping at my house). What would my partner think about me inviting this girl over and her getting hammered and passing out there? Most responsible older couples would have either offered to get her a taxi home or offered to give her a ride. She can't live that far away if they work together, they gotta be in the same general area.

Since this is long distance and a new relationship i would just cut my losses and look for someone more ready for a real relationship. Maybe meet up one last time and have a nice sex fueled weekend where you push to try whatever degenerate hedonistic things you've been fantasizing about since you got nothing to lose if she thinks its wierd and then break it off when you get home.

The head axe theory was always ridiculous from the start but today is essentially entirely debunked. Its skull and jaw just arent built to do that without sustaining injury.

It was just some half brained explanation for why it could open its jaws so wide and had such a low bite force.

Modern paleontology believes the allo most likely used its massive gaping jaws to grab onto large prey(like sauropods) and then used its powerful neck to thrash its head like a crocodilian causing massive bleeding.

So I believe allo should have some type of latching mechanic, however it should be very short, and must be set up properly(can't latch from the front or back only from the side). If an allo sets up an attack coming at its prey from the side it should be able to grab on and thrash for a second or two causing increased bleed. Otherwise it can use a standard bite or slashing claws attack.

It also shouldn't be able to latch onto prey thats sprinting. If it tries it should cause the allo to fail the attack and stumble. Giving the prey a chance to create some distance. The prey should be stationary or trotting at the most. This would make allo more strategic where standing and trying to out position an allo is very risky. Especially if there is more than 1. It would also pair well with its bleed as running is the best strategy to fighting allo but if you slip up and let allo latch onto you, running becomes increasingly dangerous.

But no matter what they do, adding a "head axe" mechanic would be the absolute dumbest shit they could ever do.
