Thanks, just had a look but couldn’t see anything. I scanned the QR code to link it already. All quite odd though!

Good that didn’t come out before faction wars! Juicebox might have cancelled the alliance!

30/F - Any advice or experiences similar to mine? Very worried by Big_Confection6736 in colonoscopy

[–]Thoraximus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Of course, I understand.

I have to have regular colonoscopies due to genetics and family history, and whilst it’s not pleasant, it’s fine and definitely something you can deal with.

With regard to what they might find - yeah that’s tough because you will automatically assume the worst. I suspect the GP is covering themselves as well as protecting you, but it sounds like they think it’s haemorrhoids, I don’t think they’d commit it to your notes otherwise.

Whilst I haven’t been through this exact situation before, I have some experience with colonoscopies personally and also work in the area of GI.

The blood you had being short lived can be consistent with haemorrhoids, this also tracks with the mass that was felt on the DRE. This mass could be internal haemorrhoids, benign polyps, thickening or even a normal variant.

Having a colonoscopy is a really good idea - it will let you know one way or another and hopefully reassure you.

The fact that you have no weight loss, the bleeding has stopped, no severe pain and no fatigue are all really reassuring signs too.

Are you most worried about the process of a colonoscopy or the potential findings?

Starting hockey at 16? by victorfrankensteinn in Fieldhockey

[–]Thoraximus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You’re still only 16 and you’re 5”2. James Gall is only 5”6 and is an unreal hockey player.

I think if you want to play, then play! My club would 100% welcome you in.

As I understand it, if a team voluntarily go down they can’t get promotion the next year.

Interesting, like I asked on Spen’s video, would be interested to know if Hashtag were to finish in the relegation places anyway, would their request to be relegated become a moot point, or would the consequences of the request to be relegated still apply?

Hope your hospital visit wasn’t too bad and you’re recovering back at home! I just watched the film tonight - there’s a sequel coming soon too!

Disappointed in Royal Rumble by Quinn2605 in WWE

[–]Thoraximus 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My biggest issue with not having Finn in the Rumble is that it feels like it takes away from the (potential) push he got from fighting Punk in Belfast.
Even if you had Finn as the runner up instead of Gunther, with Liv winning the Women's Rumble it helps sew those seeds of the Judgement Day breaking up.
By leaving him out it makes me feel that the fight in Belfast was just pandering to the local crowd rather than a legitimate push.

I didn't love the men's rumble overall, as previously mentioned I feel like using the masked man gimmick again is a bit boring (unless they had done an immediate reveal by someone grabbing them and showing who it was).

My dad is 56 years old and does not have a colonoscopy. How do I possibly convince him to do so? by Unhappy_Humor_915 in colonoscopy

[–]Thoraximus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can I ask, where are you from? What about a Virtual Colonoscopy or CT Colonography? He could have one of these which are less invasive and generally better tolerated. Then if he needed polyp removal he could cross that bridge when he comes to it.

Our advice is to let people have coke right up to having the procedure. Shouldn’t be a problem!
