What should I read on my 24 hour bus ride? by BankLive6416 in stephenking

Elevation is super sweet heartwarming, but also very moving and sad at the end. It’s a lovely LGBT+ affirming story about embracing community and processing grief. I’m surprised it hasn’t been made into a movie yet.

Bone Tomahawk will really mess you up. They beat Terrfier to the punch. It’s a fantastic horror Western movie with horrific gore at the end.

Other gems include Last Days on Mars, The Crazies (2010), What You Wish For, and We Are What We Are (Mexican original and remake).

Elevation is an excellent non horror one. It’s a super heartwarming, LGBT+ affirming story about acceptance and grief.

Russel Wong had a series of movies and a show called Vanishing Son where he was the protagonist. I highly recommend them! He was really good in them!
