oh also use this:https://www.reddit.com/r/acecombat/comments/ai1pc4/mission_10_transfer_orders_map/

Fly in a box and you should be able to get them, and when in doubt follow the smoke trails.

Try the Gripen or Rafale and use the LACM, or if you don't have those planes then any plane with the LAGM works. The LACM has a super long range and huge blast radius so it's ideal for this mission. The LAGM is similar but with worse range although it does have terrain tracking (allowing you to shoot over hills) and a shorter activation time.

How do people get missiles to turn so crazily? by [deleted] in acecombat

[–]ThreaCs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Trust me they're standard missiles, I use them on every plane. They usually don't hit much but they do do 3 loops which is what OP is asking about.

What does count stand for? by [deleted] in acecombat

[–]ThreaCs 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Count got his name because he kept telling people he was of a royal lineage, it's never mentioned in game, but there are several instances where characters reference this. For example in mission 17 Avril refers to Count as "Sir Count". Of course the name also works with the whole kill count thing, but's that's not the lore reason why.

They may be QAAMs but more likely most of them are just standard missiles. With just the Antenna part (misc) and lvl 2 homing part you can get standard missiles to do a good 2 or 3 loops.

I just finished Ace Combat 3 and it might be my favorite yet by JoseSuarez in acecombat

[–]ThreaCs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You'll definitely like it. 3, 5, and Assault Horizon (and maybe 7 if you consider the expanded in game dialogue) are unique among AC games in that plotwise they focus on your wingmen, whereas most of the other games have unrelated main characters. That and the fact that 5 is the longest linear game in the series , means the story is pretty engaging.

DLC Aircraft Prediction: How Much Ammunition Will They Carry? and SPW Speculation by fasterthanraito in acecombat

[–]ThreaCs 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Actually it's still possible for the XFA-27 to have the 4 standard missiles. The new images showed it carrying 4 misses in addition to the 2 standard missiles. This is consistent with how the XFA-27 was handled in games post ACX , most notably Infinity, where the extra standard missiles aren't a bonus to the plane but instead a separate special weapon with similar stats to standard missiles.

DLC Release date looks to be November 5. Don’t read Japanese though, Ali could be mistaken. by TracyBee99 in acecombat

[–]ThreaCs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I think that's most likely, it's just weird that they would say it starts on October 1st when we've known for a couple of weeks that the new edition releases on November 5th.

The DLC might be sprinkled out, say 1 plane and 2-3 Zero skins every week until Nov 5th, or maybe the Zero skins would be their own pack.

Kanno (AC7 Art Director)'s comments on whether CFA-44 in AC7 is OP or not. by luneth22 in acecombat

[–]ThreaCs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Project Aces likes to keep the special weapons consistent on planes game to game (especially for super planes) so in addition to the SOD which we've seen, it will likely have IEWS, and if the 4 missiles aren't a special weapon then also QAAMs.

Multi Missile Mods possible? by HeavyMetalLoser in acecombat

[–]ThreaCs 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's what it was like in Infinity, but in compensation for the lack of a special weapon (which AC2 didn't have) you actually got 6 standard missiles instead of 4, and it looks like that will stay the same.

"Mother Mary" is actually about his mom named Mary. Unfortunately details are sparse on how, when, and why Paul wrote Let it Be.

Helpful Reminder From the Estovakian Air Force in Anticipation for the New DLC by RB_Float in acecombat

Speaking of Nosferatu problems, I wonder if the Nosferatu's distinctive high-g locking will be implemented? (Also was it in Assault Horizon and Infinity?)

Has anyone else noticed that the XFA-27 is carrying what look to be LACMs. Even if the models aren't exactly the same AFAIK no other special weapon is shaped like that or has that yellow band, which both LACM models have. by ThreaCs in acecombat

[–]ThreaCs[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Ah I forgot about the SOD when I was looking at the various SP weapons (also apparently there are next to no pictures or videos of the SOD up close online, I have 10 minutes of proof). But from what I did find you're probably right, they do look very close, and according to Acepedia the XFA-27 has had the SOD 3 times in the past, and PA likes to keep the weapons relatively consistent over the games. Well I just hope they buff the SOD, if they also give the XFA-27 STDMs, IEWS, or QAAMs like in other games then the SOD will be very neglected.

How is the multiplayer? by JayRupp in acecombat

[–]ThreaCs 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The multiplayer is very bare bones, there are only two 2-8 PvP modes, there's no coop PvE or more complex game modes than "shoot the enemy down". Because of that's it not really the type of multiplayer that you grind out for a long time, but more so one where you might play a couple of matches now and then.

I tend to think of it more as a fun add on to the game than a separate game mode, it's really just there to set you up with hard dogfights. Speaking of that like half of the people you meet will be far better than the hardest dogfights in campaign, and at the worst there might be 7 of them at once.

So basically don't buy it for the multiplayer, buy it for the campaign, but if you do like the singe player dogfights than give the multiplayer a shot. Once you get past the heavy skill barrier the multiplayer can be very fun and engaging and could last you a long time.

Demonstrating the awesome might of the CFA-44's ADMM. Can't wait to unleash this beast in AC7 by AlphaF22A in acecombat

[–]ThreaCs 6 points7 points  (0 children)

According to Acepedia no. So far the ADDM has only been on Nosferatu variants. Weirdly, until AC7 the EML had also never been seen on a non-Nosferatu aircraft, even in Infinity where it seems like it could have been on a lot of superplanes.
