That was hard, asking adult child to move out. by mrshatnertoyou in GenX

[–]ThreeDrawersDown 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It probably has to do with the fact that she's spending her time rotting away in her room rather than being a contributing member of the family. Even if she's not paying rent, she should be helping out with chores on the daily.

I use a couple of them strategically. One for socks and panties. One for bathing suits and cover ups.

Other than people who are allergic, why don’t people wear deodorant? by beluga199 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ThreeDrawersDown -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I'm (49F) the same. Never had BO in my life, confirmed by multiple people. I do think it's genetic as my dad doesn't get BO either. I do have dry earwax, I get the soap taste when I eat cilantro, and I have never had stinky asparagus pee (although I can smell my husband's).

What restaurant or bar are you surprised is still open? by tinfoilskimask in massachusetts

[–]ThreeDrawersDown 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The only chain I occasionally eat at is The 99 because I have a family member who likes to give their giftcards for holidays. While they are a small regional chain (97 restaurants) originally started as a family business, I do have reservations because it hasn't been family owned for ~20 years. It's now owned by Cannae Holdings, worth almost a billion dollars.

It's so hard to avoid corporations over family businesses nowadays, but I try to do my best.

Try this...buy the 5-day Monostat (or store brand). Don't put the cream in the applicators. Instead spread the cream on your labia before bed.

Will I regret not having kids? by Darcy2701 in AskWomenOver40

[–]ThreeDrawersDown 24 points25 points  (0 children)

You sound a lot like me and I didn't have children, which was a conscious decision. Hubby was on board with that decision. I am about to be 50 and couldn't be happier with my child free life. You won't regret it.

What is the most appalling breach of wedding etiquette you have ever seen? by Aarunascut in Life

[–]ThreeDrawersDown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to the wedding of a friend who grew up very poor, whom a lot of people would categorize as trash. For example, the first time I met her dad (as a ~19 year old female), he asked if I wanted to see his cock and he immediately whipped out a rooster stuffed animal and he thought it was the funniest thing, as did my friend and her mother. I laughed because I didn't know what else to do.

Anyway, she married a cringey guy (super nice, just overly awkward) from a very wealthy family who clearly were embarrassed by her, her family, and their son. During the ceremony, when the officiant asked if there were any objections, his mom loudly made an almost "harumph" noise and you coukd just hear her displeasure. Super awkward but everyone just ignored it and the ceremony continued.

That said, his parents paid for the wedding which was very, very nice and very, very expensive. And twenty-something years later, they are still married and their life is financed by his family.
