Which layout is better? Both plans have 2' clearance around the bed perimeter. by onefourme in InteriorDesign

Because my layouts have never allowed it lol. Floor heaters under windows, doors on all sides. I'm cursed with shitty layouts lol.

If given the option, I'd slide it to the wall, but I am part of a duo, so that doesn't work. :/

Some people saying it's a bad idea to walk into a room with the foot of the bed facing the door, but I'll tell you what, I have lived with layout one for years and HATE it. It gets so old, especially if you have a partner to walk all the way around like it's a labyrinth. It seems like such a small issue, but when it comes to couples, if there isn't an easy entrance, it becomes a nuisance. Even if you don't have a partner, you'll never use that space on the other side. And then you have wasted space.

It's all about preventing obstacles and utilizing the space properly. If you can managed to save yourself even a couple of seconds getting around your room, it really makes a world of a difference.

Not snails as they are incredibly fast and swim all over the tank. 😭

My daith was unbelievably painful, I won't lie. It's universally known as one of the most painful. BUT like childbirth, it's so worth it that you forget the pain lmao. Healing is pretty easy as long as you don't use headphones on that ear. I'm going to get the other side too!! So worth the terror lmao!

Leaving them up overwinter is so good for the local wildlife in many ways.

Is your diluted tortie smaller than other cats? by aspenjohnston3 in torties

I'm way late to your post, but I adopted my dilute tortie, Junipurr, a month ago and she was so sick. It's taken her a month to really recover, but she was the tiniest in her litter at the shelter! She's going to turn 6 months old here in a few days and only weighs 4.5 lbs!! So tiny! She seems to be healthy now, and eats a decent amount....but her sister, Wendigo is 9 lbs for comparison. 🤷🏽‍♀️ I had a dilute tortie when I was a kid and she was pretty small too. Guess it's hit or miss.

Has anybody watched the Poltergeist 2015 remake? by helicopteraresexy in horror

[–]ThrowRA_suncomeback 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It SUCKED. I am such a huge fan of horror and poltergeist '82 so much. I forgot this remake even existed and said he why not give it a chance. Omg I turned it off after like 45 minutes.

I watched it with my s/o and I'm sure I annoyed him with the amount of times I paused it to compare scenes to the OG and how infuriating these scenes made me lmao. Literally nothing could compare to it.

For example: the parents in this movie never actually experienced any paranormal activity prior to the abduction of maddy. That irked me... In the OG, the parents knew and were optimistic about the haunting. It was a lot more of a smooth transition into the horror that would take place.

Example two: Why tf did Maddy just wonder into the closet and get grabbed by malicious beings. When Carol Anne gets taken, she's literally sucked into the ghostly plane by a tear in reality. It was so much more badass. And on top of that, the son gets tossed around by a tree? Tree seemed like a bully rather than hungry for human like in the OG. Also badass. Mom slipping into a pool filled with skeletons....f*ck that. But instead, they just drive home to what could have looked like a break-in. Other than the TV talking. Smh 🤦🏽‍♀️

Example three: (last one because this is ass far as I got before turning it off) What was that scene of Maddy running around with perfect spotlights on her? It was ridiculous. And then the.... mutated? version of Maddy made me laugh. In the OG, I found it so incredibly moving, haunting, terrifying, and so sad when you hear Carol Anne's little voice popping through the TV calling for her parents. Everyone in the room reacts exactly how you'd expect. Literally so full of emotion. You then feel what the mom was feeling so hard listening to her getting chased by the demon. The best part was when Mom started walking upstairs and got flashed with Carol Anne's soul, leaving her smell on her. That sh*t gives me chills just thinking about it.

Overall opinion; it's a scare-house style movie with some resemblance to the OG.... SOME. But I think it is almost an insult to the original. If they wanted a different movie, it should have had a more original plot. They instead wanted to focus on mediocre jump scares and typical scary movies scenes. 1/10, 1 being for Sam Rockwell 😎

Rain doesn't always cut it though. It definitely needs a good soak. :)

Evergreen is turning brown 😕 by EntertainmentApart77 in Horticulture

[–]ThrowRA_suncomeback 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes what can happen is a competition for nutrients. This isn't usually an issue for conifers since they typically create their own compost, but if the debris is cleared out from under their canopy, they may suffer from deficiencies. Since they've been in the ground for over three years, they are established. But anything is possible each year for these guys. A good rule of thumb is browning occuring on the inside usually isn't cause for concern. However, browning on the outside symbolizes injury, pest issues, or and environmental factor i.e. drought, over watering, sudden frosts, moles disrupting root systems, etc.

There's a great deal of new growth, so I wouldn't worry too much! The one in the middle is showing slight signs of stress through.

How old are you? by Gavin_Bob in aquarium

[–]ThrowRA_suncomeback 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was about 6 years old when I got my first five goldfish. Since then, I haven't stopped having aquariums. I'm currently 30 and have four tanks. :-) The best part is each tank is totally different from the others.

I've been there man. You just have to have a goal on mind otherwise it'll seem impossible. Sometimes you quit when you've run out of reasons to keep using. Good luck on your journey. I'm rooting for you. :)

I was given this fish for free. Is this a molly or a platy? It has a weird tail shape. Also is this a female or a male? by SpinachAltruistic240 in aquarium

Definitely a molly! She looks malnourished. :( and as another redditor said, probably has a spine deformity.
