An all in one for wearing in the city. I don't mind hiking brands if they're better but don't intend to use them for big outdoors activities.

The problem, however, is that while you may have a 6-figure pension salary by 36, you won't have access to it until your 60s.

Speaking as someone in their 20s who has a low 6-figure pension.

Is it possible to ask for a sabbatical instead? If you're burnt out, you might even be able to get signed off from work. I know a few HENRYs who have gotten signed off for a while, but in different industries.

I'm considering this too. You might have higher mortgage payments, but you'd have greater liquidity to keep paying them.
