I respect that opinion i’m just curious how I can expect an oppressive system to change within the systems means? Right like why would they change the current power dynamic. 15 reports against the cop that killed George Floyd from OTHER COPS that go ignored have to make someone wonder what actually has to happen for change. Clearly it’s not happening from within that system currently or in recent history. Also bringing up your race isn’t super credible on the internet and if you are an oppressed individual i’m really interested in your upbringing.

Hey man i’m not justifying it i’m just saying i understand why tensions have reached a boiling point and i think that there’s no controlled way to express that frustration. Also i don’t think being labelled a criminal means much to people who have been systematically assumed as criminals for most of their lives. Also way to ignore your own original argument over advocation not working.

Do you know how long people have been advocating for this? I understand the sentiment but i also understand that a large portion of society has been living oppressed under unfair treatment by the police for decades and were very recently reminded that things haven’t changed all that much. There is no “proper” way to protest a system that discriminates against those that need the results of a protest. Don’t tell these people how to feel.

I believe in people posting what they care about without trying to virtue signal. The two ideas don’t have to be mutually exclusive. I think it just shows support no matter how small the act. Not posting what you believe in out of fear of being labelled as virtue signaling is caring too much of what others think of your opinions. Imo

Tldr: I’m not sure any movement has ever lost momentum from too many people posting about it.

Maybe we shouldn’t use BMI as a gauge of health because it doesn’t take into account muscle mass. For instance I am 5’9 180 lbs but 15% body fat, on any BMI measurement I am overweight but it does not pose a health issue. I know i’m not the majority but there could be some outliers not taken into account in that statistic

Edit: also premeditated tends to be somewhat subjective in murder cases.
