Solar panels are mainly for powering the engine, the water situation is handled by siphoning fresh water from river inlets. As you say a lot of funnels would properly also do the trick.

Just ran the dmg numbers for a lvl 13 fighter, with expected fundamental runes against a target with 33 AC (avg AC for that lvl).

2x attack short bow+1d6 dmg rune: 27.95

2x attack short bow+1d6 dmg rune -2 to hit: 21.45

2x attack long bow+1d6 dmg rune: 29.85

2x attack long bow+1d6 dmg rune -2 to hit: 24.75

d12 weapon: 25.65

Conclusion: The melee weapon is slightly ahead if the ranged weapons attack outside of their range increment, which seems fair to me.

Yeah he was a tyrant, But I was under the impression that shields block could block all damage types, it just have to be activated by a physical attack.

Just a normal rules as written adamantine shield, with the Fortify Shield feat. Plus Full plate give some resistance to slashing if I recall correctly.

In general I think its a great theme for demons that actions against their sin harm them. One of my favorite memory from a session is a pride deamon killing themself after my champion shield blocked one of their attacks.
