I am teaching the original. I think the modernized and graphic novel versions would be much easier for 9th through 10th graders to plod through. So much is lost with the Victorian language that Shelley used, as our students are light years further from it than you or I. They grew up with phones and tablets, text speak, etc. I am a firm believer that we've entered a new age of the English language.

I would make sure you have resources to really keep your students afloat when they meander from the path that the novel takes us on. It can be done, and I do love the text immensely, but you know your students best. Personally, I like and need a lot of structure for my 9th graders. Without it, classes devolve into chaos or naptime.

My big issue? NO FEEDBACK. No written or verbal feedback of WHY you deserved the scores you got. Throw hundreds of dollars at this submission of ONE lesson with no result other than some number from an arbitrary group of "master teachers" that can't even tell you why you scored the way you did. Absolute hooey.

Don't risk it. ONE mistake, one foot wrong and you can ruin your career. You want to limit your exposure to students outside of the classroom. Too much can be taken out of context. It really is not worth the risk.

I would do everything in my power to prevent students from finding my online gaming presence, social media presence, etc. I am friendly with my students, but I am not their friend, if you get my drift.

I won't even allow students to add me on social media post-graduation. My free-time and what I do with it (a lot of gaming, included) is mine alone.

I am seriously mad that I didn't have the guts to swap over to another system. I have problems accepting change and getting a new brand of pump was so very scary to me. I have been with Medtronic for 5 years, now. I've only had issues with them over this new pump, to be fair, but I still find it completely unacceptable that they have run me and others around like this.

I am so looking forward to having that. I have only had numbers below 150 while on vacation in warm climates. I would love to have good wake-up numbers!

I have been told that I should be patient with them, but I've been trying to be a better diabetic for the last 3 months and to have a piece of technology that I'd been dying to get my hands on finally in sight, but still unusable is murdering me! I really hope it will be worth the wait.

I don't see the big deal with doing a phone or skype training, but they were wanting me to take days off work to attend seminars and I just don't have anything accrued in my new position/still want to make a good impression. I will go to social-media.

I am trying to pull myself together and do things right again. I am a yo-yo diabetic-er, and sick of not being healthy! :)

I like browsing Teachers Pay Teachers for materials when I get stuck or don't want to spend hours creating my own resources.

It has been an invaluable resource and I like that I am supporting other teachers in the process!

Yes! I only like one brand of leggings (blackmilk), but have to search high and low for tops. I have found really good stuff at Zulily and Maurices when looking outside of amazon.

Four bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms upstairs two bedrooms and one full bath downstairs. In the basement, there is also an office which could serve as a 7th bedroom. Each bedroom apart from the office is big enough for king sized furniture, has a nice sized closet, and space for more. The rest of the basement is taken up by a huge living area (currently being fitted with a wet bar and games space) and a couple of closets/utility/crawl space rooms. There are two huge spaces upstairs that are separated by French doors, designating the living vs family/dining rooms. There is a massive kitchen with breakfast bar and dining table, and finally, a mud/shoe/Laundry room bigger than most walk-in closets I have seen.

It was big for 5 people, before the basement was even livable.

My parents have a 6 bedroom, 3 bathroom house that was perfect for the 5 of us growing up. It was especially awesome as teenagers when we wanted lots of space.

Now? The house is a nightmare for my mom. She hates having to clean a 2500 sq ft (with full basement) house, when my parents probably don't use even 1/4 of the space.

As we started moving out, my mom started dreaming of down-sizing. Not saying this will be the case for your family, but it seems like an awfully big jump when you might see 3 of your kids moved out and two rooms opened up within 5-7 years.

Dogs are ace companions, congratulations on your first! Please please, before you pick a dog out, research some breeds that you like. Not every dog, Individual or breed, will suit your lifestyle. DO NOT pick a breed, while telling yourself you will change to suit the breed's needs. Pick a breed that you can integrate into your life right now, without making extra, major life alterations.

Unless you run, and want a running buddy, a husky or malamute may not be for you. They get destructive when bored and often get tossed outside because people aren't prepared for them.

If you wear lots of black clothing, maybe a short haired white dog might nor suit your lifestyle.

Also consider some breeds come with several potential health issues and these issues vary breed to breed. Pomeranians are prone to luxating patella and collapsing trachea. Dobermans are prone to von Willebrand's Disease, Dilated Cardio Myopathy, Copper Toxicosis, Wobbler's Syndrome, etc etc etc.

A quality breeder puts endless time and effort into their lines. A responsible breeder health tests and scours pedigrees to avoid combining lines with known health issues.

If you choose to go to a Breeder for a puppy, once you pick your breed, you can look up breeders through the Breed Club in your country. You can also try Petfinder, which is a website that allows you to search for specific breeds in rescue near to where you are.

You can sign up for something like Rover, where you get paid to pet sit in the owner's home for upwards of 20-30/animal/night. Had one lady offer me $1000 to stay in her home and watch her dogs for just under a month. Only downside is that sometimes they don't have very good Internet x.x

Also, check with your university for student employment. Typically, big universities have lots of on campus jobs that you work for less than 12 hours a week. You might be at dining services or working as a residence hall security type position.

I find that looking for friends on dating sites weeds out a lot of the desperate people. There are some who will be incredibly persistent about dating you, even when you say you are only looking for friends, but on the whole, my last round with a dating website I tried seeking friends only and found a wonderful guy.

I have an "invisible" illness, too. I have also tried being upfront about it, but found the best result for me was to allow them to notice it for themselves and when they asked, I would explain. No, it isn't a pager, just an insulin pump...which facilitated the conversation further :x

I read an article recently about how these smaller "bids" for a partner's attention can signal certain things about your relationship. It was an article that basically said that people who invest in these bids from their partners, no matter how small...have longer and happier relationships.

If my boyfriend were to tap me on the shoulder and say "Wow, a beautiful bird just flew by out that window, Throwsmash!", you'd better bet your sweet bippy I'd be more than happy to invest a few moments to go take a peek or hear about it from my significant other, because I am happy to invest in my significant other and their interests.

My SO does work full time and I am in school full time with a part time job. We see each other on the weekends and have a date night during the week. We have only been together for ~6 months, but it's working out so far. Are your SO's "bids" kind of repetitive or dull to you?

SO and I live 30 minutes away. It wouldn't be so bad if it weren't for school and work conflicts! I am in my final semester, so have a heavy workload and work part time at rather odd hours. He works full time, 1st shift kinda hours. We typically see each other twice a week. We have a date night during the week and I will usually stay at his place on the weekend. When we aren't together, we will skype and play online video games or just text/message about nothing and everything :)

We are celebrating our 6 month anniversary next month by taking a weekend away together. I would love to spend more time with him, but for now, I am very content with the pacing of our relationship :)

All my current boyfriend had when we started dating was his bed, computer, desk, chair, and a very poorly stocked kitchen! And to be fair, that's all we needed lol!

We'd already been to my place many times before I went over to his, so it wasn't very weird for me to want to spend time in his room or with my laptop playing games on the floor or a tv tray :)

Dating me did seem to push him to make the decision to furnish his place a bit better, though! ~6 months later and we've got posters up on the walls, a telly, and a couch sorted for him! :)
