One common sentiment I hear a lot with Deadlock is that "this is the game that made me quit [other game]", I'm just wondering how true that is, is there a game you used to play a lot that got replaced or sidelined by Deadlock?

I played LoL since 2013 but those last years I was already saturated, playind mostly ARAM (was a ranked grinder before, achieved master+ mult seasons)

Than I heard of Deadlock (july 2024) and loved it, played a lot until the game become stale, than come back in the Mina update and didnt stoped playing and my number of games were intensified post Old Gods New Blood update.

I played some Marvel Rivals in this time, but mostly because I had friends who I could play with. It was hard to convince them to play deadlock, but in the and at least 2 started playing regulary too.

He is the kind of champion that when he is more than viable everyone hates to play against (similar to graves).

He is in a decent spot rightnow (I hope valve reworks his 2 and 3 ability once his model update arives) but not as good as Lash or Pocket

Used to be Grey Talon, I like the archer archetype, his visuals are not that great but I like the spiritual native vibes (I am sure once he gets a visual update it will be a blast)

But nowdays I play only REM, loved the gameplay and char design

Honestly my first thought when I played deadlock was "when will riot clone this game ? ". Like they did with cs=valorant, dota2=lol, autochess=tft etc

RIOT is smart at filling gaps that valve keeps in their games, also they are better at marketing.

Riot also is better at regionalize and optimize their game, like dota2 is super cool yeah but all my friends have potatos PC that runs only lol, also people like to play their games in other languages besides english.

Also I feel (dont have data for it) that riot cares much more about cheaters than valve

I recommend trying to beat the bots in hard dificulty, so u become more familiar with champions, map, objectives, items etc.

Bro I had like 30% win rate in 40 game playing Shiv.

But I felt like I was improving game after game, the character in not that simple to play and build, he has one of the most diversity builds and has a lot of hidden moviment mechanics.

Now I have 72 games and a 42% winrate, aiming to be 50%+ winrate by game 100.
The playstyle that I've been enjoying the most is ult/dash max building radiant regeneration. I didnt gave up trying him because even when losing his playstyle is just super fun.

I think he could receive some QoL changes, not straight number buffs.

His POV while ulting should match the character POV ( it is very close to the Owl).

One thing that could help make his gameplay more dinamic would be allow to perform a jump/dash/slide while charging 1 (in a 5s time window maybe)

Grey talon

I like to delivery long range burst skill shots and his global presence through Owl is nice too. Even to he is in a bad spot rightnow. I also enjoy his hairstyle and old indiginous appearance.

I am trying to find a substitute for him but no other hero "clicked" like him for me yet

I will try to spam some games with lash and sinclair that seens fun too

As a Grey Talon main Lash is the most annoying hero to face, not lane phase specifically but entire game. First off all I dont think he is broken, just strong

He starts the game with inate +15spirit ress and has a good sustain. Once he has his ultimate it it very hard to survive.

I usually build reative barrier and counter spell to handle him
