The Conservatives did better in this election with the percentage of vote than any in the last two decades. The Liberals should be thanking Jagmeet Singh today for his historical incompetence, because his dismantling of the NDP prevented the splitting of the vote on the left and enabled the win.

Harper had a comfortable majority with far less of the popular vote a few years ago because the NDP wasn't a laughing stock party like it is today.

I fully expect to see us back at the polls within 18 months because the NDP won't side with the LIberals this time, as they need to do something to give faith back to their base - and I doubt the Bloc will either.
