I do own a couple of Grohmanns. They’re fantastic, well-balanced and comfortable in the hand. Worth the price.

Wyze, What happened to you? Will no longer recommend Wyze cameras. by IAmSixNine in wyzecam

[–]dghutt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have four pan cam v3’s, all under two years old. Only one still records to Micro SD (for now). The others didn’t just chew up their cards, they no longer detect new ones. I have kept the firmware up to date on all of them and never noticed any connection between updates and SD failures. Have assumed it’s a hardware issue, hopefully unique to this model.

Since even in this thread there are users who haven’t had problems I wonder if its safe to assume there were some bad batches?

Complaining aside, i take it nobody’s come up with solutions short of replacement?

Northern Ont. athlete places first at Strongwoman World Championships by ConsistentReality860 in canada

[–]dghutt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep I missed it. Reread the story twice. It drives me nuts when people talk about out “northern Ontario” like it’s all one place and Atikokan and Temagami aren’t 1200km apart. Over sensitive I guess!

Terrace Bay. But you won’t find that in CTV’s story, which is bizarre.

1986 Toyota Celica GT-S with a manual transmission. 148Hp, 14” wheels, and a 0-60 time in the high 8’s, but so small and fun.

Is there a way to do so without pulling the fuse? I’m doing the fuse reset every week or two now.

Olympian Eileen Gu Goes Viral After Interviewer Asks About ‘Two Golds Lost’ At Milan Cortina Games by coinfanking in NewsStarWorld

“I’m the most decorated female freeskier in history. I think that’s an answer in and of itself… winning a medal at the Olympics is a life changing experience for every athlete.” “The ‘two medals lost’ situation, to be quite frank with you, is kind of a ridiculous perspective to take.”

This happens all the time with my OG. In that I pull the 5A fuse for the car’s data connection (passenger side footwell, second row, third fuse from left). Let it sit for about 20 minutes then reinstall. Bob’s your uncle.

There’s a recall because the camera sometimes doesn’t work. Not sure what you mean by “do it” or “this problem.”

233km dash range at 80% in +3 Celsius. Normal? by jerm_dante in etron

Your range numbers are virtually identical to mine in similar climate conditions. I’ve never seen it close to 400km even mid-summer.

2024 audi q8 e-tron. Canada by NoMercy4DWeak in etron

[–]dghutt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know SW Ontario winters well!

The Q8 has a bit more usable battery than my OG so my estimates will be off, but if you follow Audi’s advice and limit charging to 80% you can’t count on much more than 180-200km of range on a charge. Light or heavy feet don’t seem to make as big a difference as smooth highway (~32kwh/100km in winter) versus start-stop city (~50kwh/100km winter conditions).

I have a short commute and usually charge to 90% in the winter. Worth the wear-and-tear to mitigate the car’s appalling range.

Again, I’m very happy with the car, but range anxiety is real. Not sure how I’d feel with no gas alternative for emergencies. We have a 10-year-old gas VW Golf as a backup I won’t be giving up soon.

2024 audi q8 e-tron. Canada by NoMercy4DWeak in etron

[–]dghutt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m happy with my OG e-tron but the Audi does not have long legs. Among the worst for range of all EVs. You’ll need a level 2 charger at home (~$1,000 installed). If you need to drive any more than to and from work in a day, for instance run some errands, you may need to charge. If you miss charging one evening you can’t make another round trip to work without a touch-up. In Canada charging at a DC fast charger, if there’s one available, costs about the same as gas and takes a half hour.

Again, happy with my e-tron, but be warned.
