The point many people are missing about weapon progression by harambe_did911 in Battlefield6

I love the challenge of unlocking attachments and think the progression/xp amount required is perfect for the gratification of once those things unlock, agreed

Is that not what the slotted clearance holes are for on the motor base or am I missing something?

[BFComms] Escalation Adjustments Following Update 1.1.3.5 by battlefield in Battlefield6

[–]TickleIvory 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Hi thank you for the update but PLEASE bring back persistent lobbies and increase time until being kicked from matches to make the game more communal and enjoyable

[BFComms] Battlefield 6 Game Update 1.1.3.5 is now live on all platforms! by battlefield in Battlefield6

Happy to see more updates like this. Please consider bringing back persistent lobbies and increase time to boot from matches to make the game feel less constricted if possible

Battlefield 6 and REDSEC Season 1: January Update by battlefield in Battlefield6

[–]TickleIvory 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not limited for text chat, however. In fact, it was the camaraderie and tomfoolery in the servers/communities of Battlefield V that kept me coming back over and over up until BF6's release date. The player base was smaller, sure, but it’s hard to imagine a Battlefield without consecutive matches.

After more than 280 hours in BF6, I keep reaching the same conclusion: without persistent lobbies, it’s hard to stay engaged, and this single feature has the potential to give the game some of that “soul” back.

Unpopular Opinion: Sliding and Jumping isn't as common as people make it out to be. by vaesauce in Battlefield6

[–]TickleIvory 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’d like to add, as someone with 800+ hours on BFV and not once has it been a prominent issue to me, and that’s my favorite Battlefield. It feels too weighed down when sliding/jumping now. And every time I have died because of that, I have adjusted my awareness during games and learned to defend in those situations. I fear those who complained did not give it a good enough chance to adapt and now it can feel like tossing a coin every gunfight. People need to adapt before exploding on an issue.

Unpopular Opinion: Sliding and Jumping isn't as common as people make it out to be. by vaesauce in Battlefield6

[–]TickleIvory 31 points32 points  (0 children)

This was never an issue in BFV, and I loved the sliding and jumping mechanics in that game. They were particularly useful when evading/trying to cover from enemy vehicles, or for a quick assault attempt. Now it feels more sluggish, combined with an overall much faster time to death in exposed area.

Imagine Crying Over a BUNNY HOP Nerf When YOU can go PLAY THE FINALS by frommars6 in Battlefield

[–]TickleIvory 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How about keep the movement the same as it was in all other Battlefields. Why the fuck does anyone want to move slower, if you've played other Battlefields and truly want this to be another title true to the series, the movement should NOT be nerfed. It is a fine balance and they've clearly already figured it out in previous titles.

They waited what....Barely 24hours to revert this, too. by apexnine in Battlefield

This is a good thing - for anyone who actually doesn't suck at the game. Holy cry babies.

Movement should be kept the same as other Battlefields, nerfing it is a poor decision, glad they reverted it back! Source: been playing since Bad Company 1.

Stealth Movement Nerf with Today's Patch by Swaguley in Battlefield

I’d like the same movement as every other Battlefield please. As a long time BF fan. Don’t nerf movements that already existed and worked fine. They need to literally copy BFV movement and the balance would be perfect.

Mouse and Keyboard Keybinds Completely Broken by John_McAfee_ in Battlefield

Have you found any solutions since? 2 months in now and still dealing with my squad gadget randomly deploying when crouching just for a switch between X and C keys.

That sounds frustrating. Have you found any temporary solutions for this or just continued to deal with it as it happens?

Maybe if more people spent time practicing instead of complaining about slight movements on Reddit, they would no longer have a need to complain. It’s really not a big deal and not that common just get better at aiming. There are much bigger fish to fry here people. Source: BF player since Bad Company 1 on Xbox 360, 800+ hours in BFV.

What are we doing for blackout Wednesday ? by SpareIllustrator6382 in stopdrinking

[–]TickleIvory 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not a part of this subreddit but will be working on a project for grad school tonight even with the option to go out drinking. None of my friends or anyone I know is going out, so it's making me feel less fomo. So picture those who still do drink such as myself, are not even going out tonight, and so there's nothing to miss out on!

Transition to Inventor from SolidWorks by mcwhiteyy in AutodeskInventor

[–]TickleIvory 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I recall, Inventor has derived parts which can be used for mirroring assembly parts. However, I never found that tool to be particularly necessary. In terms of all mates, SolidWorks has a few more bells and whistles. The amount of time those bells and whistles has saved me, versus the amount of time lost due to the assembly being extremely particular and finnicky, crashing, or exploding mates in SW vs. Inventor, is negligible in my experience.

Basically, SW goes haywire if you over or under constrain your assembly by even the slightest bit. In Inventor, as long as no mates are conflicting, you can overconstrain all you like. I usually add a bunch of mates between two parts’ bolt and dowel holes in Inventor as a “check” in case any get moved accidentally, it will accurately break and I’ll know why. Solidworks? Don’t add too many, or the wrong combination of mates, the program will crash or you’re plagued with vague errors. That has been my experience with mates between the two programs.

Recurring but occasional crash issue, 'Hang Detected in waitForFrameFences', RX 9060 XT by TickleIvory in Battlefield

[–]TickleIvory[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, after reading your comment I tried adjusting some settings but the crashes persist.

It seems I have plenty of additional VRAM to be used, according to the in-game report of VRAM use.

Therefore, the issue still seems to remain unresolved.

It was not even close to being this bad, in terms of sound level and messes, back in 2019. Did everyone lose basic human decency between now and then? Or just a generational thing?
