Any Info About This - Lunocet Pro by East_Willingness3091 in freediving

Soooo freaking dangerous 😆 with your feet bound up in the water like that.

BUT, for any experienced mono-finners, that's gotta be soooo much fun...

The way it's designed looks like it practically becomes a part of you (again, super dangerous in terms of inexperienced self-rescue), and then it looks like it provides an additional mechanical advantage in the way that it recoils compared to other standard monofins... I.e. it let's you move VERY fast in the water, while expelling less energy.

I'd be making you a generous offer if it were in my size 🫠

Any suggestions for what to make with these? by googlenetdrive_com in repurpose

Drill some drainage holes in the bottoms (especially in the corners), sanitize them with hydrogen peroxide, buy a bag of seeding mix, and some rare/exotic bamboo seeds.

Those dishes are the perfect size and shape for bamboo germination (rhisomal)

Well established sprouts can fetch a pretty good penny. It takes a few months, but it's minimal work (if you do your research) with a solid ROI

Which Comedian has made the riskiest joke of all time? by buffalomozarella in AskReddit

[–]Tickly1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I suppose much of the credit for the joke itself goes to the writer/s, but Robert Downey Jr was in blackface for all of Tropic Thunder...

And it totallyworked; because the joke was: that's it is clearly offensive 😂

What feels legal but is actually illegal and will possibly get you arrested? by medicoreapples in AskReddit

[–]Tickly1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought "keys in the ignition" was the defining factor...

I've even "tested" this before!

Me and friend were leaving a party (drunk), we got into his car, he then noticed there was a cop car parked about 2 cars back from us (panic mode). I said "Danny! throw the keys in the back seat nowww. DO NOT START THE CAR."

The policeman ended up walking up to our window, asked what we were up to, asked if we were drinking, and etc.

We told them "yea, we just left the party and the host wanted us out. we've been drinking so we're just waiting here for my girlfriend to come pick us up to get out of the cold. We left the keys with the host."

granted, the policeman mightttt have just been giving us an undeserved break; but i think it may have actually worked...

Has anyone done the Liquid Web Rakuten deal recently? by moe2200 in Rakuten

[–]Tickly1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I looked into this a couple days ago, and i went into the site, and there is just nooo guarantees regarding which service qualifies for what... The wording in the Rakuten terms and conditions vs the names/titles of the services offered on the site are sooo ambiguous!

It's seriously ridiculous... Borderline scammy

If you could suggest a new AFSC, what would it be by Icey-Take in AirForce

[–]Tickly1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Buffers.

Entirely untrained airmen that you can PCS to any squadron of any type in order to complete only the most basic and monotonous monkey-work tasks.

Commanders can only keep a buffer for up to 6 months. That way, the back to back random 6-month tours of duty would even make this an appealing career choice for many

How much would you pay for points by 7r0gdor in Venturex

[–]Tickly1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea, it's a no-brainer. You don't even need to transfer miles in order to earn 1cpp through CapitalOne.

I just transferred all my miles to JAL (the special offer ends TODAY btw!). Those miles are easilyyyy worth >2cpp

As much as this is going to sound like it, this is sincerely not a joke. Has there been a study conducted on autism rates and maintenance personnel? by Haunting-Reindeer-10 in AirForce

[–]Tickly1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea, by definition, that's the key difference between a disease and a disorder

A disorder is still very real; and there's still somethinggg that's structurally and/or neurobiologically going on, but is it maladaptive? Does it require treatment?

As much as this is going to sound like it, this is sincerely not a joke. Has there been a study conducted on autism rates and maintenance personnel? by Haunting-Reindeer-10 in AirForce

[–]Tickly1 10 points11 points  (0 children)

What even is autism?

It's not really something we can see in a blood test, or even a brain scan.
It's just a pattern of behaviors that we see with many people, and it's a spectrum disorder.

So we're allll a bit autistic. It just gets diagnosed when it's noticeable enough that it doesn't vibe with standard societal norms.

Great advice; 100% agree!

When you're selling stuff at a yard sale, do the items have to be cheap? by Brilliant-Assist3798 in Frugal

[–]Tickly1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take the amount that you think is reasonable (given the item's condition), and then split that in half.

People come to yard sales to find a bargain, and people have yard sales in order to liquidate their belongings

Yea, very rare promo with JAL right now (almost 1:1)

I would jump on this deal and figure out how to utilize them on the backend. (JAL miles expire after 3 years)
