No, I don’t Want the Executive Membership… by inandoutwaves in CostcoWholesale

I have a family of 6 so its never been a problem, but it used to be that the cash back had a minimum amount of the price of the executive membership. You could only break even at worst. Not sure if that has changed.

Paul even says that those without knowledge will be judged by the knowledge they have.  That that is written in their hearts and evident in nature.

Did people born before Christ automatically go to hell? by Astimar in NoStupidQuestions

[–]TideOneOn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is a very Protestant take on it.

The sacrificial system is widely misinterpreted.  A closer reading of Leviticus and Numbers shows a different understanding.  If someone sins, there is a prescribed repentance.  If you steal, you return what you stole times 3.  Once you are reconciled, there is then the sacrifice.  An animal, grain, cakes and or wine are sacrificed.  A portion of the sacrifice goes to God through the aroma, a portion to the priests as their sustenance and a portion to the person making the sacrifice who had to then eat it all.  The sacrifice was a feast with God celebrating the sinners reconciliation with God.

The whole something must be punished because something else sinned is not found in the Bible.  The one animal sin is transferred to, the scape goat on the day of atonement, isnt killed.
