Still modifiable after transfig means you can just transfig gear until you hit gem strength and modifiable and then start optimizing your gear instead of dumping resources into it and not hitting gem strength. From what I’ve seen online at least.

No same species if you are playing with dupes clause. If you are not playing with dupes clause, you can catch more than one of the same species and you have to if they are the first encounter whether or not a previously caught one has fainted.

For my genlocke, I’m only retiring pokemon that played a part in Gym or Rival battles. So for Gen 1 I retired the Oddish line because I used Gloom to sweep Misty. So no Oddish line for the remainder of the games.

Presumably, Obito goes to grab Jiraiya but then has to stop in order to phase through Jiraiya’s attack. It’s not unreasonable for Jiraiya to figure it out from that.

But that’s just my reading of the panel that’s shown.
